Everytime I hear him sing those lyrics, which is at least a dozen times a day,it renews my strength, determination and HOPE to make it threw one more day. I've been listening to this song and the reactions for 3 days straight. Something that struck me, fitting with the pendulum theme - although the song might be linear, with a beginning, build-up and end, the real-life struggle is not. If you were to cut the song after he "buried" the doubtful Ren , take a breath, and loop back to the very first verse: "Hi there Ren Its been a little while, Did you miss me? You thought you'd buried me, didn't you?" you would have an infinite loop of the pendulum swinging back and forth. It would even be bleaker than the linear story, with no resolution - just an infinite struggle, which is how it must really feel for millions of people.

My favorite lines of the song is when he said that there are no winners or losers in psychological warfare but there are victims and there are students. I think a lot of people miss this but with the victim mentality of today it made a lot of sense you can be the victim or you can learn from your mistakes that every human being on this planet makes. Be that student and learn from all your mistakes

Great reaction. I only recently learned about Ren and have gone down this rabbit hole ever since. I can personally relate to many of his songs, and they deeply touch me. Ren is an incredible and unique artist; he plays multiple instruments, has great vocal ability, and is an excellent storyteller, and quite the philosopher and poet. His videos are shot live, all in one take by his friend, from what I read about him. I recommend you check out some of his other work. The trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" is haunting and has an unexpected ending; watch them in the stated order, as this is the flow of the storyline. It is a another example of Ren’s genius. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation. If you like his personal reflections, they are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. As a solo act, Ren performs a range of genres, much of it hip-hop/rap influenced, as well as guitar-based ballads. His collaborations with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling”), with Chinchilla (“How to Be Me,” “Chalk Outlines”), and his performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up) are awesome and well worth checking out, both the busking (street performances) and their live recordings. Ren has impressive vocal and instrumental skills. He is one-of-a-kind and appears mature beyond his years. Ren will be releasing his latest single, “Sick Boi,” on January 19. He is currently in Canada for more treatments but said that he prepared a lot of music ahead of time to be released over the next 12 months that he expects to be gone.
