So, HF is billed as the only Country A Capella band with the richest harmonies on planet earth. As as far as Johnny Cash, they have a cover of Ring of Fire, btw with Avi Kaplan, the former bass with Pentatonix, and a very bluesy version of Folsom Prison Blues. But they do R&B as well with incredible versions of When A Man Loves A Woman, and a spectacular cover of Boys 2 Men's, End of the Road. They also do some rapping in their Butts Remix which is really funny.

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. Keep up your journey through Home Free. You will not find a bad song.

"Home Free Vocal Band" is a country a Capella group that won season 4 of the "Sing Off". Adam Rupp (world class beat boxer) and his brother Chris Rupp (left band in 2016) founded the band in 2001. Tim Faust - Incredible Bass, Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown - Amazing Tenors, Adam "Chance" - Smooth Baritone/Bass. I think “Man of Constant Sorrow” is their consummate Song/Video. Their catalog is huge with many, many outstanding songs. 50% Pop/Classic, 30% Country, 15% Inspiring, 5% Goofy Fun, 200% Entertaining, 100% Humble.

Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinct southern (bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

Home Free creates the most wonderful music there is. Five of the most versatile and insanely talented and skilled artists in the musical arena today. Once you step into the Home Free rabbit hole, you won't even want to turn back. Adam Rupp is a world class, insanely talented beat boxer/vocal percussionist. You ought to react to his Adam Rupp drum solo from 2015 (red shirt), it will blow your mind. The super bass with the 5 octave range is Tim Foust. The front and center singer to solo is Austin Brown, the sky high tenor with a voice strong enough to bend steel. Glasses and beard is the lower tenor, Rob Lundquist , who has a voice as sweet and smooth as caramel with some soul thrown in. The guy in back with the orange hat is Adam Chance (Chance) with a beautiful, smoky baritone/bass, who did the jaw harp sound throughout. Every Home Free member is multi talented. Thank you for the great reaction.

Home Free has about 150+ videos out there right now, and you can't go wrong with ANY video you decide to react to. Speaking of Johnny Cash, they cover Folsom Prison Blues and Ring Of Fire. They also have several humorous videos out there. If you see a video with them standing in a field or in a building singing, it's usually one of their more serious songs. If you see them "acting" on the video, it's usually one of their humorous songs. And they LOVE to cut-up.

Also their collab with original artist Don McLean, on his iconic song's 50 anniversary is just CLASSIC ! It's a must see and hear.

Home Free is the real deal. Like Pentatonix, Home Free was on the NBC show the Sing Off and won their season. They are known for their harmonies and their beatboxer is amazing. He was doing the drums, harmonica and other sounds. All of them can beatbox to a degree. The bass is Tim. He has a 5 octave range so he can go lower and then sing up in the tenor range. They can all sing and take the lead depending on the song. Austin was lead here. The song is over 100 years old and covered by many singers but made popular in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou. Good reaction you two.

That sound is Chance (tan hat, dark vest) throat-singing a "Jews harp". The twangs are legit; they're from Georgia, Texas, Alabama, also Minnesota. Some people are saying check out their "End of the Road", which is impressive and a big contrast, but I like their "Folsom Prison Blues" even more (Johnny Cash!). Also, they did videos with Kenny Rogers, "Children, Go Where I Send Thee" and The Oak Ridge Boys, "Elvira" - amazing collaborations, both are on Home Free YT channel.

The "didgeridoo" sound is really an imitation of a jaw harp, and Adam Chance, the guy at the back left, is the one doing that - I think it's a throat singing technique, and he also usually sings baritone/base. The beat boxer, Adam Rupp, is doing the drum beats, the harmonica sound, and all the nature sounds. Adam Rupp also has a lovely tenor voice but never leads. The guy singing lead is Austin Brown, their high tenor. The second lead is Rob Lundquist, a smooth mellow tenor. The guy with the deep voice is Tim Foust. You'll often hear him doing a low beat that provides an amazing depth to their music. I don't know what kind of thing you prefer. They have a LOT of humorous videos, like Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, All About That Base, or their Butts Remix, or Hillbilly Bone, or - oh man, too many to list! For more serious, End of the Road, Ring of Fire, Meet in the Middle, and they did a wonderful collab with the writer of American Pie. For pure a cappella ear candy with no beatboxing whatsoever, try Helplessly Hoping, or How Great Thou Art. For very serious, try Brothers in Arms. My personal feel-good favourite is Can't Stop the Feeling. Subscribing.

The bass singer's name is spelled FOUST. Tim Faust is a reactor whose YT channel is called Dog Pound Reactions. Both names are pronounced with the "OW" sound. the singing Tim Foust has a 5+ octave range that goes from a sweet tenor to a chest rattling, speaker busting (literally) bass.

This is just a small taste of what they can do. The beatboxer, Adam Rupp, is a 2 time National champion beatboxer. Check out his drum solo just to give you a taste of what he can do. Tim Foust, the Bass, has a 5 octave range! Each one of them are so talented individually and they are unbelievably incredible together. They have a killer sense of humor too, which you'll see in some of their videos. They are the only Country A capella group BUT they do all kinds of music. Just to see tge diversity of their music, you should definitely check out their cover of Boys II Men's "End of the Road".Its just amazing. For their funny side, "Butts Medley" and then maybe " When a Man Loves a Woman", "My Church", and "Cant Stop the Feeling" just to name a few to start. They also have original music in addition to their covers. They do not disappoint. Ever. I literally listen to them every day. They are not like any other artist that I've ever heard. Thanks for such a great reaction. Cant wait to see you react to more of them !

Very, very perceptive analysis. After listening to scores upon scores of reactions to this cover by Home Free, I realized that I can judge the quality of any particular reaction by 2 things: 1. How quickly do the reactors understand that Adam Rupp DOES NOT have a harmonica. 2. Whether the reactors comment on Tim's pitch drop in the chorus after his solo. (In my book, noticing the drop but not noting it is as bad as not hearing it.) The 2 hosts passed with flying colors, and I will be back for more. FWIW, my playlist of reactions to Home Free's cover of this song is over 200, and counting.

This is HF's teaser sampler. It gives a little taste of what they can do but folks, they can do everything! Austin in the middle has the high tenor voice of an angel (When a Man Loves a Woman, Bring Him Home), Rob overalls is the rapper smooth soul (End of the Road), Chance back left baritone will charm them right off you (Cover me up, One Man Band) Tim the Dragon is regarded as one of the best bases in the world (Misty Mountain, Ring of Fire, Do You Hear What I Hear?) if you love Avi Kaplan or Geoff Castelluci Tim will keep you gobsmacked. And Adam, hands down the... best... beat boxer... ever!!! And his tenor voice is marvelous. Pick any song, they will never disappoint.

These 5 men have a sound like no other. Adams ability to mimic sounds is amazing, Austin has a sky high tenor, Rob has the soul/runs galore, Chance is a smoooth baritone but can cover bass when Tim has lead and of course Adam with the vocal percussions. About Home Free There are not many bands where 4 out of 5 can sing lead !!! But these guys do. The others have also learned a bit of beatboxing and have had small duels on stage between each other. Very special people with very special talents and very down to earth with a twinkle in the eye. The five founding members were brothers Chris and Adam Rupp, Matt Atwood, Darren Scruggs, and Dan Lemke; taking their name from a boat owned by Atwood's grandfather who helped support the group financially in the early years The group began in 2000 as a hobby for the singers, but they gradually gained in experience and popularity. By 2007 they had enough of a following to pursue music full-time. During this period, the Rupp brothers and Atwood formed the core of the group, with Atwood singing lead tenor. Other members of the group came and went. They competed in an A capella TV competition "Sing Off" 4th season and won big !!! They won the TV competition the year after Pentatonix !! Then Chris Rupp was also there instead of Chance. Adam and Chris started the group in high school. Chris is now making his own career and started another band called 7th Ave whit his sister Tristin Rupp (sister of Chris and Adam) and 2 others. Here are the current members of Home Free: Adam Rupp :beatboxer that’s leaving everyone in complete disbelief as to how he could imitate an entire sound system by only using his voice and is the best in the entire US and soon in the world as he continues to develop it. He started only because they needed one. He also has his own solos in the shows. It is only then that most people understand that it is his mouth sounds from drums, harmonica and lots of other things. He also has a clear tenor voice that is used a little now and then. Adams fellow band members affectionately referred to him as a “freak of nature.” because of how he transforms from a singer and vocal percussionist into a human musical instrument. Born on April 23, 1982 Mankato, Minnesota. Graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004 with a music performance degree in trumpet. Tim Foust: is not only bass but instead read 1 Oct lower than other men as the lowest tones are vibrations but the total range of his voice is a full 5 octaves !!!!! That is, from the lowest base to the highest tenors. He has also collaborated with a guy named Peter Hollens in songs like Misty mounten and Sound of silence. Born on July 19, 1981 from Lubbock,Texas but was raised in Nederland, a city in Jefferson County, Texas. In his early years, he attended Lamar University as a pre-dental major until the day he could no longer fight the music itch. Recently, the Nederland native was also inducted into the Museum of the Gulf Coast Hall of Fame due to his influence, talent and vocal range. He joined the likes of Janis Joplin, Tracy Byrd. First sang with them as a guest on their 2010 tour. A Texas native, Foust was then pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter of country music and had recently released a solo album, but was not ready to sign on full-time. Matthew Tuey sang with the group in the interim of 2011, until Foust joined them full-time in January 2012. Rob Lungquist: lead tenor with Swedish descended who has an angel's voice with a beard like a lumberjack! His second talent is to whistle tunes! He can also beatbox a bit. Born on June 2, 1983 and comes from Minnesota. He has a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He joined Home Free after his graduating in 2008. He moved to Minneapolis, where he worked at the Guthrie Theater as a bartender, and he used to sing for a fellow Minnesota-based group called Four Shadow. Austin Brown: High tenor with a unique voice that is finished with country stucco on. Absolutely incredible man. Born 22 maj 1986 and comes from Tifton, Georgia. Attended Oklahoma City University, majoring in Music Theater. In 2012, Austin was working on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship as a featured singer in their production shows. When Home Free joined the cruise as a guest performing group, they met and became close and he let Home Free know that he would be interested in joining the group if they ever had an opening. At the end of 2012 lead singer Matt Atwood retire and Home Free then invited Brown to join as lead tenor. Adam Chance (called only Chance): baritone but also bass when Tim sings lead. We're just starting to understand his voice ability and wow what a voice. On March 18, 2016 it was announced that, after sixteen years performing with the group, co-founder Chris Rupp would be leaving to pursue a solo career. He would be replaced after May 8th by Adam Chance, formerly of Street Corner Symphony. Born May 24, 1984 Chance is a native of Baldwin County, right across the bay from Mobile. He stayed in Baldwin County until his early 20s. His mom still lives there until today. He is a former journalism and music student at the University of Alabama. All five of Home Free's singers have formal musical training. Lundquist and the Rupp brothers all have bachelor's degrees in music. Adam Rupp's primary instrument is trumpet. Home Free's styling as a country group is relatively recent. Before Tim Foust joined the group, Home Free was an all-purpose a cappella group, singing in a wide variety of styles, of which country was only a minor one. With the additions of Foust and Brown, the group moved more in the direction of country and found that audiences responded well to it. Home Free had auditioned three times for The Sing-Off (without Foust and Brown) and not been accepted. When auditioning for the fourth season, they made a conscious decision to style themselves as a country group. In an interview Brown said this identity is what grabbed the attention of The Sing-Off’s casting director, who said, “You guys really fit something we don’t have.” This band can not even been describe properly so ignore what title they are under… for them they are the only one in their category in the whole world !!!! Home Free converts songs to country a capella everything from Avicii - Wake Me Up to Johnny Cash "Ring of fire" etc. To understand what these are, you should check out their live recorded shows… because you do not understand them before there. Their own song videos are absolutely wonderful. You can laugh yourself to death and you can cry from recognizing heartbreaking ballads. They have released 14 records from the startof Home Free and Home Free's 2014 album “Full of Cheer” was released as “Full Of (Even More) Cheer” in November 2016 and debuted at number two on Top Country Albums with 13,000 sold, the band's best performance on the chart at the time. But the album "Timeless" came in 2nd place on the country Billebord list the first week !!!! Everyone placed high on Billebord country lists at the record release. Then you should know that the fans are significantly fewer than, for example, Blake Shelton or Kenny Rodgers. Kenny and The Oak Ridge Boyes contacted them and have collaborated on several songs Their shows are so much fun and you get involved when you go to their concerts. Be prepared for lots of laughter. They do everything they can for their fans and the fans do everything they can to for the band. The fans are called “Home Fries” and there kid fans are called “Small Fries”. There are many examples of how good and cordial it is between the fans and the band. The latest came up due to Hurricane Harvey. It hit where Tim Foust comes from and he has his family and friends there. They did not get much help. So Home Free started a “Youcaring” account where they deposited $ 20,000 and asked the fans to match… it took just under 4 hours and the fans asked them to raise the limit. They raised it to 100,000 dollars and of them we fans have reached this and find out via Facebook and pictures of how they where used. Austin (flirty middle guy) is from Tipton,Ga.The twang is strong! He majored in musical theater and can suppress the accent when the song calls for it, Rob, with the awesome beard, and Adam the beat boxer are from Minnesota. Long haired Tim is from Texas and Chance ,in the back, is from Alabama. They are just as incredible live. Check out. “Ring of Fire” with Avi from Pentatonix. “Can’t Stop the Feeling” is a really fun vibe. Welcome to HOME FREE. The Home Fries love new reactors.

Austin Brown has a voice of silk, but Tim Foust, the bass, take a dive down that rabbit hole. He can reach five octaves with his voice. Read that again. Five octaves. He’s working towards six. That’s insane. If you want to hear something beautiful, check out Austin and Tim doing their version of My Maria.

This is an old American Folk Song that originated in the hills of Kentucky many years ago. The original composer/s is unknown. It was finally put to paper and published in 1913 by Dick Burnett, but he did not author it. Prior to that the song was shared & learned by ear by country musicians.

New subscriber. Great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

Glad you enjoyed Home Free. They have a huge catalog of great covers and some equally great originals. Check out their "Butt's Remix," "Fishin' in the Dark/Boondocks" mashup, "Folsom Prison Blues" cover, "Honey, I'm Good" cover, the list goes on. I'd recommend holding off on their cover of "Mayday" until after you've become very familiar with the guys and their ranges.

Adam Rupp is the beat boxer from (Minnesota). He does a live solo, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e8eefrp9useooJs.html it will blow your mind. The lead singer is Austin Brown. He is from Tipton Georgia. Their bass singer is Tim Faust (From Texas) and has a range you would not believe. The guy with the beard and glasses is Rob Lunquist from (Minnesota )and has a beautiful tenor voice. The last guy is Adam chance can't remember where he is from, they call him Chance, to differentiate him from Adam Rupp. You cannot go wrong with these boys. They are the best of the best. I thought Pentatonix was the be all and end all of A Capella until I found these guys. I still love Pentatonix but... I love these guys more.
