Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Home Free has released several new songs in the time you have been away. You have a lot of catching up to do. Welcome back to the Rabbit hole. One you might like is their cover of the Doobie Brother's hit, Listen To The Music. Everything they do is fantastic. Their covers are upgrades and their originals are instant hits. Another classic is their cover with Don McLean for the 50th anniversary of American Pie. You'll be blown away.

Austin's voice was made for this song. He absolutely crushed this. Rob and Chance's harmonies woven throughout the background are magical. Tim' bass line is phenomenal! And Adam's beat boxing/vocal percussion is beyond next level. Five of the most talented, skilled, versatile musicians in the musical arena today. Home Free is like a gift box. The deeper you dig into that box, the more wonderful surprises you find. In my opinion, they are the G.O.A.T. Don't feel bad about forgetting there are no instruments. They are so dang good at what they do, you'll more than likely forget from time to time that there are no instruments. Some of my personal favorites of Home Frees' catalog of work is "Blue Ain't Your Color", "Brother", "Listen To The Music", "The Driver", "Forever And Ever Amen", "Diamond Dreams", "Moonshine", on You Tube and "Ain't Goin' Down Til The Sun Comes Up" on Facebook. Percy Sledge would be proud. This was done during lockdown, that is why they are in separate tv. They did a fantastic awesome job. Tim Foust (bass) has a 5+ vocal range. Adam Rupp(beat boxer) has won world championships in beat boxing. Austin(high tenor & lead in this one), Rob( tenor 2) beard & glasses, Chance(sings anything needed). They don't have a lead singer.

There's a live video of "Austin Brown singing Unchained Melody at Tim Foust's 6th Birthday" that will equally blow your mind. There is also a live video of Home Free's song Honey I'm Good called "Tim Foust's vibrations" - it's earth shaking (more accurately, I guess venue-shaking). Tim Foust has also blown out the sound system at a concert - it's funny as hell.

Nice! I, too, am partial to the original by Percy Sledge. Home Free blew me away with theirs. A little tidbit, this was done during quarantine with the guys spread out over the US. Austin was in the studio, and he was singing to his lady who was standing near the camera.

These guys are so amazing. I've never liked this song, but these guys killed it. Not just Austin, but the fabulous harmonies in the background vocals. And the vocal percussion was purely amazing. And don't forget the tech guys who put it all together during lockdown.

I would also recommend you listen to their comments after each song. They tell if it's a cover or original and who wrote it if original as well as who arranged it. Enjoy this very deep rabbit hole.

Aside from Adam Rupp (the beatboxer), all of them sing lead on different songs. I love that there's no ego among them (they consider themselves brothers) and whoever best fits the song, is the one who has lead. In some songs (American Pie for example), the all sing lead on different verses. By the way, there's a video "9-5 Beatboxing breakdown" where they alll beatbox.

I loved the late Percy Sledge's original (not so much Michael Bolton's - I thought it rather over-wrought). I think Home Free's version does justice to the song - the looks are for his lady Amberly. She also does most of the videotaping on Austin Brown's channel. If you haven't seen the cover of "Ain't No Sunshine" on his channel, be sure to watch the talk at the end. It's directed to reactors.

I would recommend you watch Love Me Like That. It's an original about Austins break up with an old girl friend. All of the songs on their Dive Bar Saints album are incredible. Remember this, Catch me if you can. For covers look at Castle on the Hill, Blue aint your color, Traveling soldier, One man band, My Church, Brothers in Arms, Wake me UP, Mayday, Listen to the Music. These guys can sing anything and do it well.
