At Hippocrates Healthy Eatery, we aim for zero waste, so we recycle and reuse all our waste. Even our packaging becomes compost. We don’t use plastic packaging made with petrochemicals because when they get contaminated with organic matter like food it cannot be recycled. All our packaging is plant based.
Our organic waste is separated and is taken away to a depot to be turned into compost. But even our plant-based packaging finds its way to the compost hip and eventually to the bag of soil you may be using next in your garden.
It may cost more money, but we promised not just to provide healthy food to the people and minimize animal suffering but also to protect the environment to our best ability. And this is a very small price to pay. Remember, if you order from Hippocrates, all the packaging can go into your compost bin even if it has been contaminated with food
