I've looked at many videos on EVOO, and this one has some unique and very valuable information. Since olives are a fruit, it makes sense that the way the fruit is handled and processed will determine the quality of the EVOO produced. Just as the best fruit is the kind that's tree-ripened, handled with care, and eaten while still fresh, it makes sense that the best EVOO would also be from olives that are fully ripe, handled with utmost care, not bruised or damaged, and processed as little as possible. Thank you for conveying these ideas to us!

Thank you! Finally someone agrees with me. Many are commenting about the EVOO made from green olives and not ripe black olives. They don’t realise many essential minerals are missing from the unripe fruit. This is the reason I mix them with green, red and black.

Depending on the variety of olive, of course, I'm seeing that when a grower determines the best time to harvest his crop, there will be a mixture of colors and slightly varying stages of ripeness.@@Remedial_services

No, you're the problem you're not allowed to go over the speed limit so if someone sits on the limit in any lane then it should not be a problem, just because you want to get somewhere faster does not mean they have to go above the speed limit, it's a speed limit not a suggestion, you're just an impatient driver
@Remedial_services
@Remedial_services 5 ай бұрын
I don’t go over the speed limit but many drivers stay on the right lane with lower speeds than the limit amd that’s very annoying. If the motorway has 100 km limit and you travel at 80 or 90 stay in the left lane. Simple.

@@Remedial_services right, but when people go the speed limit in the right hand lane you've got no reason to overtake them, so no reason to get upset. It's a stupid law because it's only for speed limits above 80, if it were a good law it would be for all speed limits but it's not.

@@voluntarism335 Australia being so harsh on speed limits is the problem. Because of the penalties, most people only look at the Speedo and don’t pay attention to other critical aspects of driving such as what is going on front of them. I would rather have someone behind me doing 120 and actually paying attention to the road than someone doing 100 and looking constantly at their speed. It’s not a stupid law because it helps traffic flow. The biggest problem is people sit in the overtaking lane doing under the speed limit, or people having no reason to be there in the first place. 3 people sitting next to each other doing under builds queues behind them. If the 3 actually kept left, there is a clear path for people to overtake and it makes safer conditions. Right lane hoggers create dangerous situations than anyone who is speeding. It’s not rocket science. You watch dash cam and 95% of incidents is because people don’t actually look, pay attention or just have a blatant disregard for changing lanes etc. Look below at this video (note: it is the US so the left lane is actually the overtaking lane and not the right). He explains and shows it perfectly. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i86EaLVymZ7IZps.htmlsi=ZDmAynLnFZ7L18ls On top of all this (I’m looking at you Victoria), some speed limits are an utter joke. An example, the M1 Fwy in Victoria past Pakenham there 5-6 km stretch’s of 80 km an hour speed limits. A rural fwy at 80, yet a nearby pothole filled narrow road is 100. How does that make sense?? Victoria is on a massive kick on reducing highway and road speed limits, yet the death toll continues to climb each year. Reducing speed limits isn’t the answer - it’s teaching people how to drive properly, actually be courteous to other vehicles around them, and showing lane courtesy. It’s not hard.
@olly1oo6

The law is "Keep Left Unless Overtaking", not "Keep Left Unless You are Driving the Speed Limit". Let highway patrol deal with speeders. Your job is simply to keep left. Not doing so is breaking the law just like someone driving above the speed limit breaks the law.

I like this concept because it fits my needs for space, ease, & longevity for the project I have planned. The US eq H beam galvanized is about $50/ft at this time. My personal project requires 43 beams varying in length above grade from 18" to 40". My frost line is 36"... so I am looking over 10k usd just for posts. Still have to source several hundred sqft of sleeper. Not realistic at all for me. So, I am thinking if I go this route, I would diy concrete posts to accept diy sleepers. What spec/standard would a concrete post need to be made to? I was thinking 6"deepX8"wide with channels 2in deep by 3in wide, that would accept panels having a 2x3in tab but be 4" thick to sit flush with the front of the post. The below grade portion of the beam would be full dimension & sit on a concrete footer that is surrounded by gravel. Using UHPC (10k+ psi & 1500+psi for both tensile & flexural) & perhaps inert rebar (basalt) to build both the posts & panels. I am not a concrete guy or a structural engineer. I do work in precision manufacturing & can read & follow directions. Anyone with experience or thoughts on something like this?

You'd be a lot cheaper to use .60 treated 6x6 (rated for sea-walls) It's something you have to special order, but it's only about 15% more than the less treated stuff at the box stores. I'd have confidence that they would last 75 years, as long as they are done properly.

@@abacab87 Thanks! Due to weather, I've slowed my project & will be shelving it till spring most likely. I've cast 32 sleepers thus far & driven some galvanized posts in the areas where the overall height will be less than 24". Sleepers are 3.5x9x72 with 2 pc/s 1/2 rebar. 1 sack of ready mix, 2lbs cement, 2lbs CSA, polymer, & basalt fiber x2 per sleeper. They are ready to demold in less than a day, but I have been keeping them covered & moist for at least a couple days before demolding. I will for sure look into the treated 6x6 for the posts in areas where I am concerned about the structural integrity. Where can I learn about "doing them properly" if you don't mind?

One difference between Aus and Germany is that their Autobarns speed is in many parts unrestricted so it makes sense to have that rule in play.. While some speed restrictions are in place (sorry to ruin the fun - see below!), there are several stretches where you can enjoy limitless speed. For example, the A24 section spans 147 miles from Hamburg to Berlin and includes a 93mile stretch of golden unrestricted motoring where you can really open up.

Funny thing about polyphenols is that there is no real evidence it does anything for your health (evidence from sources that profit from selling more is no evidence) . A healthy body makes it's own antioxidants and you don't need more from food. More isn't better since a lot of processes in the body depend on oxidization (think of making energy burning fat with... right! Oxygen!). Not saying you don't want the real fresh oil but let's buy it for the right reasons.
