I really can't believe this is real. After reading manga I was afraid to even hope for Shinji to shine for a moment at least and he's getting bankai in anime, holy shit, huge thanks to Kubo-sensei and anime team for adding this scene. Can't wait for series to come back this summer!

Most people here probably know why Shinji never used his bankai but for those who don’t, there is a reason why he’s using his bankai against a bunch of no named fodder quincies. 1. It sucks in 1v1 fights 2. It has a huge drawback if friends are nearby

I am so hype for this ! oh and just one thing, most people think that shinji bankai is forbidden but that not true, in the light novel when you translated correctly from japaneses to english they never said that it's forbidden. it's just said that its dangerous to use when you have allies around you but that all.

Yeah it's mad frustrating. It's the 7th kenpachi's bankai that was banned. And that was only because I it was uncontrollable and couldn't be turned off when released. I don't know why people say other wise 😅 Shinji and even yama's bankai (who people thought was also banned) can be turned off without issue.

his bankai would truly be the hardest to master but has to be the most OP bankai there is to one who has mastered it where it should make you nearly invincible. to being an elite fighter without using it and then after bankai will now have to do everything completely opposite of your centuries worth of battle experience.

Also btw. he admits it in some game. His entire zanpakto: "His Shikai is for Giants, and his Bankai is for Minnows. Everything about you is Opposite" - yup. that's why he barely use it. since his Bankai isn't made for beating 1 v 1.

His bankai makes you destroy your Allies so it’ll be interesting to see Quincy’s fighting each other. It completely hacks your mind and makes you think and feel like you are fighting an enemy when you are really fighting a friend. Crazy stuff
