This video is about our latest visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. The memorial Peace Park is made up of several points of interest. Most notable are the Genbaku Domu (Atomic Bomb Dome) and the Peace Memorial Museum.
For more information on hours and possible closures due to renovation projects, please visit the museum web site:

Hiroshima City street cars are probably your best option for traveling in and around Hiroshima. You can find more information, including maps and schedules on their web site:

I had an opportunity to visit Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park during 1990 and 2005. This video actually took me again to Hiroshima. Very informative video. Thank you for sharing.

Did you download the background music from Adam's site or from the audionautix site. I located the music 'The Voyage' from the Audionautix website but it sounds different to the background music playing in the video. Soon I'm taking school students from Australia to Japan and we are visiting the Peace Park. We showed the students your clip this week.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. "The Voyage" is the short clip of music that's used in my intro. I had to add it to my comments section to comply with terms of use. The background music (from Adam Pacione) is actually from a demo recording he made. I'll shoot him an email and see if he can make this available. BTW, I'm thrilled to hear that you showed my video to your students. I hope you guys enjoy your trip!

Q: when the best month to visit? I'm going solo 😆

Just my opinion, but I think early spring is best (late March to early April). The weather is cool (but not cold), and the cherry blossoms are out. The fall is nice too, but you should avoid the summer because of the heat and in early summer/late spring is the rainy season.

When I visited in 2001 I went to all the places you mentioned, and one you did not cover: The hypocenter marker is due east of the Atomic Dome building on the next street over. It is granite and about 4' high. It marks the exact point 600 meters above of the detonation of Little Boy. The museum is very moving and difficult to describe without getting emotional about it. My wife's parents survived the fire bombing of Tokyo in May of 1945 and saw and endured many hardships in Tokyo. Will you do a video on Nagasaki? I was planning on going while I was in Japan this year but the situation in Kumamoto prevented me from going.

You know, I REALLY want to do a video on Nagasaki, especially because it tends to be overlooked. Yet, it's every bit as significant. So for me, it's just a matter of time and money, but I know that I will eventually make it. Thanks for your comments and feedback!

Much respect for Japan and the metabolism movement. The result of American actions make me very sad and angry. Watching videos like these kinda gives me the chills.

We played with the powers of god and before we even knew what we had. We used it on innocent people.

Those innocent people were being trained to repell the American forces . Maybe Japan should admit they were responsible for the deaths of millions of people.?
The ONLY thing you need to do in Hiroshima [emotional]
