THIS STORY:
He was a tanning magnet.
Everything was perfect in his life,
He had success, he had a fortune.
They had everything they could have wanted.
But then tragedy was to strike....in multiple.

The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

One man's grief becomes a story shared by thousands 130 years later. A legacy I doubt he ever expected.

Are you kidding me? The choice of music, the history and superimposing ( as in the kitchen with his daughter and wife in the chairs) are amazing. This is better than any series I have watched on t.v.

In my opinion, that is the most beautiful statue and memorial I've ever seen. Thank you, Ron, you never disappoint us! 💗

Without Christ, there's no hope, no joy. I grew up in a very affluent suburb and I was always depressed and suicidal. Later in life I lost my 2 children, and everything I had. I hated and blamed God. It was while I was living in my car that I cried out to God and the Holy Spirit wrapped me in a cocoon of love and peace, it's absolutely indescribable what I felt and what transpired. I surrendered my life to Him and for 3 days He ministered to me. My life turned around. I may not have a lot of money, but I know joy and peace. I still grieve for my children, but the Lord helps me through the valley. I don't have "religion", I have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The mausoleum, mansion and greenhouse are remarkable. Victorian architecture is probably my favorite architecture. The detail in the structures are remarkable.

The most beautiful tribute to John Bowman's family. The statue of John had captured his truely tragic life in his time worn face. Thank you, Ron, for the most memorable video to date.

Thank God nobody has bothered this mausoleum. I had a flash back to a mausoleum atop a cliff that was desecrated and destroyed and it was a Dad who wanted a safe and beautiful place for his family to rest in peace, too. So glad there are people in this town that watch over this mausoleum and keep bad people away from it. It is also a major attaction for the town. One would have thought the people in the other story of the mausoleum atop the cliff would have also thought of the mausoleum as an attraction for people to come and pay respects. But, that wasn't the case. I pray that this one continues to be protected.

Love this story. The mausoleum that he built for his family is absolutely beautiful. I feel for him losing all his family. It must have gave him some comfort to have them so close to his home. What a beautiful home but so big. I wouldn't mind living in the green house. His statue was so life like but you could see the sadness in his face.Awe😒

I have to say the statue of John looks so real. His eyes actually look so real with that stare. The mausoleum looks beautiful inside. The architecture on his house is outstanding. It's sad that Addie died at 4 months and his other daughter died early on in life. Great story Ron on John Bowman and his life.

Mr. Bowman left a very beautiful memorial. I don't think that the poor man ever healed from his losses. I hope he is reunited with his loved ones.

That is an amazing story about a self made man who had a great love for his wife and children who tragically all died so young. The whole place is so beautiful and charming but so sadly tragic. Looking at his statue it's so amazingly done that I wouldn't have been surprised if it moved and started talking to you Ron! Congratulations on another excellent show! keep up the good work

It's so sad when one person loves another so deeply, and, they had to deal with such tragedies. But, in the end, he made sure his loved ones were cared for.

What a beautiful, lifelike statue of Mr. Bowman ascending the mausoleum to bring his flowers. It just gave me the chills. He was a deep feeler and that is apparent by the things left behind. I've heard of setting a place at dinner tables for those who are absent or deceased. Perhaps that gave him some comfort in the evening. I will not judge him or say he misspent his wealth on memorializing his wife and children, that was his decision and I respect that. Another late January birthday person like me, I feel a kinship with him. May they all rest in peace on earth and may they be united and whole in heaven. 🕊️

We have nothing like that here in Australia. There’s a few landmarks dotted here and there but absolutely nothing as amazing as that. There possibly may have been once but developers would have bulldozed it to make way for housing or tourist sites to cash in. I do notice those buildings were in need of some paint externally but inside it looks like a museum. I hope the community or whoever looks after the grounds might raise some money to restore the buildings to their former glory. Mr Bowman sounds like a man who really loved his family and is deserving to have his estate made pristine once again.

Just beautiful. The town or someone should have kept this mansion in good shape.
