I just replaced my now sort of dead Sony 900e with this tv. So far I am amazed. If anyone has Game of thrones 4K blu-ray, watch the season 8 " the Long Night" battle if you want to see how well this tv handles darkness.

What do you think is coming out for 2024 updated tech? If not much this set may take the cake for a couple years it may seem, if game tech is where it needs to be being optimized for ps5/xbox and mini led back lighting is pretty maximized. Now just need to smoothness and 10bit color which may not even come next year, might be a couple more

Last year you were raving about the black level on the u8h saying how it was close or like oled. It didn’t get bad over a year. There’s just a new model. I get no blooming.on my u8h and the black leaves are excellent. Thanks for all your hard work making these videos

I have the 55 inch u8k. I bought it at Best Buy for $799..For anyone that wants the quickest straight to the point assessment this is the budget mans oled. Blacks are very deep and crisp, this tv is ridiculously bright! You will have to turn the brightness down. It has great update to gaming features. Only thing I don’t like is the (earc) is inside one of the 2.1 hdmi ports. this tv is honestly an 8.8 out of 10

Just returned my 57" neo G9 Dual UHD 4k 240hz curved monitor with DP 2.1 for this tv 65inch as a monitor and also bought a 85" for my living all for 3k with sales , what good damn deal for there flagship tvs im juat turning it on as we speak its updating the firmware but damn im ready to game on a big screen 4k @144hz 🙌

Just ordered the Hisense 100U8K and got it for 2999.99. Now I was a Sony fanboy in the 90's. But then their quality really dropped off and Samsung took over. Samsung is becoming what Sony became in the early aughts and Sony is climbing back up to be a quality TV product again (I buy a new TV every year). Current lineup is an 82" Samsung Q8 in the bedroom, an 85" Sony X900H in the TV room, and two 65" Sony OLED's in the guest room and my office. The Hisense 100U8K will replace the Sony in the TV room, that Sony will go into my bedroom and the 82" Samsung goes to my ex-wife's and my older 75" LG at her house goes to my brothers place. We rotate them annually. And this way, I get a new TV for Christmas and everyone else does, too. The key to having a good ex-wife is to have a happy ex-wife. Don't get me wrong, I do love Sony TV's but the price point is often not worth the product.

It's 8 bit with 2 frc you literally cannot tell between a real 10 bit panel.

Thank you for your valuable work Quantum. Im very interested in the 75'' model, it has a different panel (IPS-ADS instead of VA). Theoratically it should have better viewing angels and color reproduction, but what about the black and brightness levels? VA panels tend to have better performance in contrast and brightness. Can anyone share their experience with a 75'' unit?

Anyone having issues with Gradient control causing the picture on the screen to look like it's got a light grey smokey look. Every time I turn it on it happens and gets worse when I go from low to high settings. It's weird because I don't see it in any of the calibration videos Quantum has done...Wondering if I got a bad panel or processor in this U8K 55 inch I just got 2 days ago...Also upscaling SDR tv channels look pretty bad unless i'm on HD cable channels. 4k blu-rays look incredible with Quantum calibration in theater day mode...NETFLIX DOLBY VISION was artifacting and all had a cloudy look on the screen and the movie was 4k...Very frustrating so far with the U8K I have...I know it's a great television but mine is just frustrating the shit outta me..ALSO I had to mess around for like 20 minutes to get ARC/ARCe to work on Onkyo AVR based 5.1 surround sound system...I have the May 2023 firmware on my U8K and searched for a firmware update but TV stated I had the current firmware....SMH

Okay if u watch reviews of S95B……I have gone to stores checked 65” U8K 😮 Right beside Samsung S95B(QD-OLED) for 1.5 hr (i have 2 Hisense, i know how to tweak it. N i know what my fav KZfaq 4k scene/walk should look like. So i would dial in to compare ) I can tell u that it look 98% identical to Samsung flagship S95B, utter utterly NICER than Sony X95K, LG anything. $799 is insane cheap. If u dont play video game its like “do NOT miss it price” Whre I am at in Canada, they were ON SALE for $1250 for 65”. Dude ppl IN USA 🇺🇸 get d CHEAPEST NO Frill price for that panel cuz it’s Cross boarder form Mexico where they made d TV. Everywhere in UK, CANADA, AUS…we all have to pay 35-40% more for Same panel. Snatch it $799! Get 4-5 yr service plan tho. So by 3rd or 4th year something goes wrong, Bestbuy just give u like Brand new Latest version of that TV 😊for Free. It’s worth the 4-5 yr plan! 😊

No doubt Hisense and TCL are eating Sony, LG, and Samsung 's lunch when it comes to mini led black level performance! I feel the processing speed and motion handling is getting pretty good as well! Color accuracy not quite there but still beautiful pictures.

It is unbelievable to see the black levels and clarity. I have a person arguing with me about the latest Sony mini LED's picture quality that far supersedes Hisense. You think he's right?

U8H , put that $300 partially on 5 yr service plan from Bestbuy. Safe n no worry about any “issue come up” 3, 4 yr down d road. :) Most ppl buy $3000 $4000 tv they buy 4-5 yr Service plan to like “not dealing with isusues”. So thats why we dont Hear too many ppl complaint about SONY, LG flagship panels. Bestbuy drive over n pick up a broken tv, n drop off brand new one newest model. Ppl complaining about like motion jutter, jitter , i see nothing. (I have d model yr before the U8H) .

But if u have d extra $300 wonder if they are same. It’s kinda like when like BMW X5 have “upgrades” like newer better resolution front/back camera, or BETTER speakers, etc. ppl find it “minor” but do Make over all exp MUCh better. So the U8K do come with EXTRA set of speakers. I think it has like 6-8 speaks for diff sounds. N has Diff CPU-process COLORS better, also double local dimming, n 30% larger hard drive/memmory, so it wont crush as much if u happen to down load more streaming apps. (I only stick with Netflix , discovery +, KZfaq , etc. ) also U8K has diff function that i think u can put like some videos/pics saved in tv to play /rotate/ like a PC. N it has Anyways but not everyone wants it . Also it has an function to add a Video camera ,do hand gesture to make tv turn on/off etc. that u can prob download some app to use for online YOGA/gym/group class, dance class(like the Peleton/mirror ), or Karayokee steaming live. Also do kinda Zoom Meeting type of thing. I dont know what app to download. I ONLY KNOW the Hisense Flagship Panel in China re $450 USD higher than IN USA for d SAME panel so even $1100 is like--CHEAP!!!!!, comes with 4k camera to like do the “entertainment “ stuff cuz ppl like to do karayokee duet n family meeting during holidays for gathering, live video game stream match etc . I really dont know what app to download tho in North America. But U8K has that function of having camera added on. Lol 😅 not saying u need it, in case u might find it fun --Down d road. :) 😊😅. So thats diff “extra” for U8K vs U8H(severly strip down version from Asian panels, to like shave 🪒 off the Price).

He already said its like pitch black. More black. I believe him because in 2020 when I bought my First Hisense VA flagship panel. When I turned on first time. My husband yelled OUT--SO black. It doesn’t even look like it’s TURNED ON 😮😮😮😮😮🎉 That’s 3 yr ago model. Then bright white logo pop out, NO blooming no nothing. i was JAW dropping. Can u even imagine this that’s 3 yr ago model. What U8k is capable of . The video do not do justice due to his camera capacity. 😊 it’s VERY deep black, n Vibrant clean image. I hv since seen it U8K 65” in store. 😅

The TCL QM8. At the 55" and 65" the U8K is formidable, but I have a 75" QM8 and the U8K's ADSPro is what turned me away as I didn't care for ultra wide viewing and preferred better contrast. The U8K and the QM8 are both great, different needs.

Imagine this with an additional 50% dimming zones and with 10bit. The black levels even deeper and the colors even better and better processing. It could possibly create even better depth I’d assume. I have a question for you. Can you make a video based on this comment? A video just theorizing plus whatever info you got for 2024 U8K. That would make for a fun and refreshing video. I’m thinking of getting the 2024 year. I’d like to think of what could be compared to the current 2023.

I'm reading and saw a video of a HiSense representative talking about having 16 bit panels in 2024...HiSense is going to be the pioneers of technology in 2024... I own a calibrated U8K and price to performance it's the best tv in it's class...

It's been great watching your reviews, I just wish the 75" didn't have a different panel, which after seeing an ADSPro in person, does not produce the same picture that a VA does in terms of contrast. If I was getting a 65" inch, this would seem like the better choice. The QM8 is also a GREAT choice, the differences between these two are marginal, but at the 75" and up, the U8K isnt' the same.

I was so close to buying this at $799 but Costco had the 48” C2 for $699 that I had to get. I’ll definitely consider this for larger sized TVs in the future though. Mini LED seems to have really closed the gap to OLED.

On mine 11years old Benq VA Monitor, this video shows true black without blooming. I dont understand. Were older TVs/Monitors better 10years ago? Did they purposly fucked up newer models so they can supposedly "improve" them every year and sell them for higher prices ? Modern TVs with thousends of diming zones can't fix blooming which mine 11 old Monitor doesnt have ? What's going on ?

QM8 is really good but the U8K has better picture quality and better black levels. QM8 has better motion handling and gets brighter but also blooms due to the brightness.

Digital trends review is out. Stating that the QM8 is significantly better in black level control and backlight. Also, in agreement with the rest of the reviewers. Not a fanboy or anything but everyone says the QM8 is better. Makes sense with 2000 dimming zones anyhow

The only review that matters to me is mine. Literally no one else that I've given a chance shows real time tests post actual optimization. They just overlay a bunch of random clips and make statements.
