You scared me for a minute when I didn't see the new filter put into the bowl after adding diesel fuel so I took a second look. I still didn't see it. Must be on the editing room floor. Enjoy your traveling lifestyle.

Good job on the fuel filter. It is always a good practice to put some dielectric on those connector contacts to keep them working well. Interesting you only have one filter for the fuel system. Might be a good idea to add a secondary fuel filter somewhere between the factory filter and the engine, such as the "Goldenrod" clear water-block housing models. They work very well. We carry the small Ryobi 1,600 psi pressure washer for all that Alaska/Canada road dirt for occasional rinses. We also carry the "Mr. Funnel" AF15CD portable fuel filter for those fill-ups at off the beaten-path fuel stations, just for extra assurance. Good fuel is a priority especially when out in the middle of God's Country. Enjoy your videos. Safe Travels and Happy Trails.

You don’t need to crack those bleeders, just prime till you feel fuel. The fuso tool allows for a half inch ratchets and an extension to help. Those primers are bad for seizing

That reminds me, I need to check my drain for moisture. Need to drain the transmission and change the filter and fluid too. Thanks for the reminder. Your fuel filter housing is similar to my Ford. On my ford it’s necessary to turn the key to the on ( not start ) position several times before restarting it after a fuel filter change. I see you have a butterfly hand pump to recharge the fuel system. I was doing two things while watching I had to watch it twice.

How do. Looks like you’re living the dream. And nice vid. Wondered if you could help. I’m looking for the part number for the tool you used. I tried to buy one from Mitsubishi but they sent me the wrong tool. If I could give them a part number they sure lay couldn’t get that wrong. Could they? Thanks in advance.

Modern fuel systems so much easier than 70's diesels, two filters and a glass water bowl plus the whole system needed bleeding after a filter change as no non return valves and gravity cannot be overcome. A filter change often a three to four hour job on a motor that needed every injector bled. If any driver had the misfortune to run out of fuel and I was sent out to them they soon learnt to stay out of my way, easily done back then as fuel gauges were often on the tanks, if any gauge at all, one soon learnt to dip a tank. Diesel tastes foul if one has to suck it up to the lift pump.

Hows it going sir, on my fuso the engine started to surge and lose power. The yellow check engine light came on a number of times and would go in limp mode. I would shut it off and restart the engine to get it out of limp mode. and I was thinking it might be the fule filter, what do you think I might need to do.

You can never go wrong starting with the fuel filter on a diesel driveability issue.

It might be a good idea to an additional pre filter for example one of these www.ipu.co.uk/products/racor-500fg-diesel-fuel-filters/ If you use dodgy fuel soucres and you can see the if there's any water in the filter.

I think it’s a Mitsubishi Fuso part. I’d dig it out to check but we are in the midst of repairing some water damage.

With diesels fuel is almost always the first suspect. Have you changed the filter and checked to see if you are getting air in the lines....
