I believe keeping your culture alive in the U.S is so important like keeping your roots alive because I believe the U.S is meant to be a mix of all our cultures a place where they can be accepted and celebrated although it's clearly not the case just yet we are slowly getting there and that starts wth keeping our culture alive.

Hispanic are here to stay and our traditions and language are part of us. We are not here to harm anyone we are here to work and become productive citizens. Why don't you get to know us instead of being overcomed by fear. We are happy people family orientated and will help someone in need. This is a small world and life doesn't last long. Even though we might not travel the world but when you meet someone one from another country and they open up to you about who they are you just did.

People are overcome by fear of Hispanics because they don't want to lose who they are. These people like being Americans and speaking English. They are not going anywhere. Why is that Americans have to know Spanish to get a job and everything else when their own public school does not teach them Spanish but very young Hispanics learn English. What "crime" did they deserve for all this? It makes no sense. But for some reason Hispanics are just starting to ask questions.

@@elizabethwohlford9615 then say latin american cultura in the USA, not "hispanic", she was Portuguese/Brazillian. But there was always a debate if Portugal/Brazil is "hispanic", in the old days, yes. Hispanic comes from the term for the Iberia Peninsula by the Romans "Hispania". Spain is supossed to be the sucessor of the "Hispania" but not the same, while Portugal became a seperate thing, but today is mostly called for people who comes from Spain or spanish speaking countries. So in the modern term, Carmen doesnt fit.

@@SuperRip7 Today's young people want to learn a new language either as a hobby, because they have a Hispanic relative or they like Latin music, everyone is forced to learn English young Americans also want to be bilingual, just like foreigners, and what better than Spanish, since it is the second most widely spoken language in the United States, and it is also very easy, since it is a European language and derived from Latin.

I think the video is unfairly judgmental. Why should the US be influenced by the Hispanics, while they shouldn't be influenced by the culture of the country they live in? That makes no sense to me, really. Their "losing" some of "their culture" is a good thing, because that means they are assimilating to the US culture, and the US is the US, it is not Latin America and it shouldn't be if they don't want to. If they want to fully engage in their countries' culture, maybe they shouldn't have left their home countries. It is only polite and common sense to try to adapt and assimilate when you emigrate.

Hispanic and US culture should not be viewed as separate. USA culture is just an assimilation of the many cultures throughout the world including hispanic. The reason why many Latinos migrate to the USA is because we held on to a oppressive sell out our people leadership that's deeply rooted in Catholicism and Spanish rule. Hopefully Mexican president Nieto got a Commodore Mathew Perry style wakeup call that Japan got 164 yrs ago when Trump threatened his country just shortly after being sworn in. Start fucking educating your people, Lose the fucking respect by sweat and being tough and violent machismo culture. Nobody worldwide respects us for picking fruit and cleaning hotels. You gain respect by manufacturing (Toyota, Boeing, Microsoft, Apple, Merck, GE, BMW, Phizer, Bayer, Samsung), good high tech products. You don't want to spend money on a worldclass public K-12 & public university system like the US & Europe.
