Whomever is looting doesn't care about the businesses, the people who won't have jobs as a result, the money it takes to rebuild and replace all of that. They need to take responsibility for their actions and hopefully the mayor will do more than issue a lame statement and arrest these people and fine them for restitution to the businesses and lost wages for workers who won't have a job. That would be true leadership.

Cat 1 hurricane is 74 MPH to 95 MPH winds. Buffalo had 80 MPH sustained winds over a couple of days. Winter began on 12/21….still a long way to go.

Most of the vehicles I saw off the road in a ditch when I was up there were 4X4s, all the while I was passing them by in my 4x2 pick up with a little weight over the rear wheels. Just think. 100, 200, 300 years from now, future generations will be reading whole books about this "historic" storm. The extreme wind damage, the buried vehicles, and of course, the looting. Songs will be sung by future folk musicians. Board games will be created for families to play about the storm. Whole cottage industries will crop up about "The Historic, Once-in-a-generation" storm of 2022. People will be riveted and captivated to read about the frozen precipitation and the havoc it wreaked on their hapless ancestors. Yes, my KZfaq friends, historic indeed, in every sense of the word. I've got chills just thinking about it.

Not true. Look at Earthcams live cams to verify. Newyork city or state. Buffalo has some snow but everything seems to be operating as usual. Power is on, roads plowed and cars are moving. They get big snow falls every year. This is normal. Newyork city, Ohio,Chicago all barely have any snow. Total BS.

Dec. 27, 2022----I'm confused, so maybe someone will give me an answer. A lot of people have/restore military vehicles like Humvees, 2.5 ton trucks, etc. YT has a lot of videos about them, including some being in the snow. But I haven't seen ANY videos either on the news or YT where people that own these vehicles are using 'em to help others. Or is it a case there aren't any of these vehicles in the north part of the midwest/eastern states like New York?

Yesterday in North San Diego County it was 80 degrees in most places. It was 84 on Christmas Day. Almost no humidity and just a slight breeze. It's currently 60 degrees at 20 minutes to 11pm. I love Southern California. You can have your low gas prices and no place to drive!

I left San Diego years ago. Crappy housing at high prices, homelessness, shitty schools, and a lot of shallow people who talk about how great the weather is, and they continue to ignore the severe problems that SoCal has. The high taxes and housing costs result in a relatively low standard of living for most SoCal residents. What is called middle class in SoCal is called poor elsewhere in the country.
