This is a short Railroad Documentary on the Southern Pacific Railroad's Yuma Subdivision. This is the first episode in a video series called "Historic Rail Lines" where we will cover various different Rail Lines back in their heyday. The Yuma Subdivision is a historic rail line as it connected the west to the east on the famous Southern Pacific Railroad. To this day this is the Union Pacific's main line heading west out of southern California. Watch trains battle the steep grades of Beaumont hill and race across the desert flats to Yuma Arizona. There's plenty of different Locomotive's with Southern Pacific's SD40-2 variants like the famous tunnel motors. SD45's, GP40-2, B-40, and more are shown in this video. Make sure to go subscribe to the different KZfaq channels below. I reused their footage to create this train documentary so the video credit goes to them. Other topics include railfan, railfanning, railroad history, mountain railroading, railroading, railroader, locomotives, trains, rio grande railroad, union pacific railroad, santa fe railroad.
