Those people who lived in Castros and were later "Romanized" are also called Celts. Asturias is one of the 8 Celtic Nations and even participates in Interceltic Festivals. Why didn't you use the word CELT? I resent people denying my heritage.

Sadly both Asturias and Galicia are not fully recognised as a Celtic Nation because no Celtic language was preserved to this day and this is a key point. There is no denying of the late Celtic influence in Asturian population in pre-roman times, but it's a tough task to say with 100% certainty Asturias was indeed Celtic. As Asturians we should embrace what we are, be proud of our unique cultural heritage and not obssess over labels and trying to fit anywhere.

Spaniards and Portuguese are predominantly Celto-Germanic just like France.
