@Slugger_boy Any person sho spent a few years of schooling in southern India knows about this already, in addition to knowing about northern Indian kings. This is unknown mainly to northern Indians, especially to chauvinistic HindiVaalaas (हिन्दी वाले) whose schooling system thought that it was below their dignity to learn about any history of India that did not originate in northern India.

@@joydey7309 You have two separate points. Regarding the first one-when I criticised the Hindiwallahs, I was very much including the persons who created the syllabus. The syllabi in Hindiwallah-land's schools is determined by Hindiwallah members of the schooling systems' boards-so YES, the Hindiwallahs are at fault. Also, do not conveniently forget the "Madrasi" taunt that Hindiwallahs used to very commonly throw at people from southern India, due to their willful ignorance and their self-assumed sense of superiority. BIMARU-land guys trying to mock the progressive southern regions of India is a joke beyond irony! Your second point ("they weren't taught _any other_ Indian empires except of the invaders like Mughals, Lodis, Tughlaqs etc etc.") is a falsehood propagated by the Hindi-Hindu-Hindustan brigade. *I am SURE you know that in Hindiwallah-lands,( schools students were *VERY WELL taught about the Mauryas, the Guptas, the Rajputs, the Marathas, etc.,* and NOT MERELY about invaders like the Mughals, the Lodis,, Tughlaqs etc etc.

@@TruthSpeaker2000 I am just going state out points about Chola Kingdom and you are free to come to conclusion : Cholas are one of the three prominent kingdoms mentioned in Sangam literature. Sangam literature are dated around 300 BC ( Gajabahu I timeline and literary researches. Looks like Keeladi, Porunthal excavation will move timeline by at least 200 years earlier ) Silappathikaram ( dated around 2 AD ) explains about the three Tamil kingdoms and their fights with other language rulers. Chola is one of the three. Kallanai ( Stone Dam, still used in TN ) was built by Karikal cholan around 2 AD. Ashokan pillar ( 270 BC ) mentions about cholas. Medieval Cholas ( Raja Raja, Rajendra, etc ) built great temples ( Thanjavur Big Temple, etc ) and always used Tamil. ( Raja Raja Chola I found and brought back Tamil Hymns Thevaram from Chidambaram Temple in 10th Century. ) Tamil inscriptions are found everywhere in Chola Kingdom including Tirupati. They didn’t used any other language. Tamil inscriptions from Chola era are found in abroad too. The oldest Telugu inscription is by Telugu Chodas carved around 500 AD. Origin of Telugu chodas are not clear. But, we know Cholas had matrimonial relationship with other kingdoms and those kingdoms used Chola name. ( Puri Jagannath temple is built by Anantavarman Chodaganga. Here Choda is because his mom is a chola princess. Chalukya Chola are another branch of Chola family ) Or may be governors of chola kingdom. Only Vijayanagara and subsequent Nayak rulers used Telugu in TN officially as their mother tongue is Telugu. This is only after 15th century. ( Mighty Chola Kingdom lost its prominence by 13th century itself ) Cholas are Tamils because, they are part of Tamil tradition since time immemorial, they ruled Tamil land, they have used Tamil as their official language ( and never used any other language ) in copper plates, stone inscriptions, etc.

First get rid of the prejudices. In northern India every average student, who is preparing for even the 4th grade jobs memorize Chol kingdom by heart, each and every detail. In ancient Indian history paper none can think of passing exam without the thorough knowledge of The Chol, Cher, Pandya, Pallav culture and local administrative systems. There are some College and universities where ancient India is not a paper only there students lack the knowledge of Cholas but that's also about its details, because at primary school level they have had a basic knowledge of the Cholas and other southern dynasty. We memorize revising the chapters again and again because its not easy to pick up Tamil names and vocabulary, but we still do. For sometimes, thanks to internet, we in the north getting more and more aware of the cultures of our continent as a whole, and feel proud of it, whether it be Chola Pandya Hoysalas or Rajputs Or Marathas or the Pal and Sen of the Bengal or the Ahoms of Northeast. Also not to forget, liberal and conservative Southerners, that people in the north are inundated with the entire history of Sultans and mughals than allowing us to read more our own culture and history. But, now the ball is into your court-- Tell us, what do you know about the Rajputs, the North-east Indian history, the imperial Mauryas, Imperial Guptas, Harshwardhan, the Marathas???? Pls answer 🙏🙏🙏 Not to forget the great Vijaynagar Empire, we the Northerners are highly proud of it and pick up all Telugu words for learning about it.

Tamil is spoken in Sri lanka due to Brits transporting Tamil tea farmers in the north coast of Ceylon. Tamil isn't spoken in Malaysia - it's bahasa maleyu. The amount of Tamil spoken in those places today is due to emigration of tamils in modern day. But bahasa ( bhasa ) is a Sanskrit word. Malaysians and Indonesian have sanskritized names, not Tamil names like sukarno, suharto, megawati sukarnoputri etc. Singapore name itself is a Sanskrit name 'singapura'. Not a Tamil name. Early cholas spread Sanskrit but not Tamil on those places although Tamil was spoken domestically. Don't know why. But that's the case

Oho, kulam uththunga chola 2 ( kulotgunga chola 2) built airavadeshwara temple in kumbakonam, how will u rename to Tamil?? Vijayalaya, paranthaka, gandarathitha, arinjaya, uththama ,adthiya , raja raja, rajendra also Sanskrit name.. will u rename to Tamil?? Even kundavai is not even Tamil name, it's Telugu name.. Vijayalaya chola claiming that they belong to Telugu chola dynasty.. even raja raja chola also titled as Telugu kula kaala.. they all used Varma which is Telugu Rajput king names.. They called kulotgunga chola from rajmundry to rule chola dynasty.. From kulotgunga chola, dynasty was called as chalukya chola dynasty.. Go and read history.. not from wiki

Evidence for that medieval cholas are telugu Kshatriya varna. The south indian dynasties such as chalukya, Eastern chalukya, Western chalukya Gajapathis of orissa, Vishnukundina, Pareechedi, Pusapati, Andra ikshvaku, Renati choda, Potapi chola (telugu chola), Vakataka Pallava Vasista Kotavamsa Brihalayana Salankanayana Chalukya chola (from kulotgunga chola 1 to rajadhi raja 3) Are already confirmed by govt of Andra pradesh and karnataka government that belong to telugu and kannada Kshatriya raja (south indian rajput) . 1) the first king of medieval cholas is vijayala chola hailed that he belong to telugu chola and his father name is sri kantha chola from telugu chola dynasty. This solid evidence available in archeology survey of india. Telugu chola dynasty was established in current kadappa region. 2) there is no inscription that medieval cholas belong to tamil clan or tamil origin. As per copper plates found in thiruvalangadu , cholas claimed that they forefathers are manu, ikshvaku, srirama chandra murthy. They claimed that they belong to suryavansi branch and kashyapa gotra. Manu , ikshvaku and srirama chandra murthy are belong to suryavansi Kshatriya of kashyapa gotra. 3) only Kshatriya raja having suryavansi chandravansi branches and 4 gothras such as kashyapa, koundalya, vasista, dhananjaya. All over india, Kshatriya varna coming in these 4 gothras and suryavansi chandravansi branches. There is NO Kshatriya varna in Tamil caste and even the word "Kshatriya" cannot be written in Tamil language since tamil doesn't have letter "sha" . In Tamil nadu,Only Kshatriya raju whose mother tounge as telugu still getting community certificate as "Kshatriya raja" which is coming under forward caste. These people still living in and around tanjore and also in deep south tamil nadu town "raja palayam" 4) medieval cholas had lot of marriage relationship with eastern chalukya, but there is NO single marriage relationship with pandiya or chera. 5) arinjaya chola first wife is veeman kunthavai, she is princess of eastern chalukya, daughter of veeman 2. Raja Raja chola's daughter kunthavai Natchiyar, married with eastern chalukya prince vimaladhita Varma Rajendra chola daughter ammangai devi married to eastern chalukya prince raja Raja Narendra chalukya. 6) after the death of Athi rajendra chola (3rd son rajendra chola), there is no male heir , cholas called eastern chalukya prince rajendra chalukya (son of Raja Raja Narendra chalukya) to come and rule chola dynasty and titled as kulam uttunga chola ( kulotgunga chola), meaning of kulam uttunga chola is continuer of kulam or community. Since cholas and chalukya are same kulam, they have titled as that. Then kulam uttunga chola merged chola and chalukya dynasty and formed chalukya chola dynasty. Kulam uttunga chola born in gangai konda chola puram, he took part in indonesia raid by rajendra chola, kulam uttunga chola was commander in chief for navy. 7) all the birth name of chola king contains Varma which is the caste name only for Kshatriya varna. Birth name of raja Raja chola is Arul mozhi Varma, Birth name rajendra chola is mathuranka Varma Birth name of paranthaka chola is Veera narayana Varma Birth name of karikala is aditya Varma. Still only Kshatriya varna using this from rajasthan, hariyana to andra , karnataka, kerala. 8) pandiya who were neighbor to chola conducted 3 sangam to polish and encourage tamil language but cholas never conducted sangam for tamil language. All the name of cholas such as raja Raja, rajendra, paranthaka, karikala are sanskrit and all titles are also in sanskrit such as Veera kesari , para kesari, kopara kesari and tamil title also. Since cholas can't write their name in Tamil, they introduced letters such as ja, ji, ju, je, ha, sha, sa, sri , shi. Even now tamil language doesn't have these letters, 9) medieval cholas and chalukya chola never had friendly relationship with pandiya and chera, for 400 years there were had continuous war. Raja Raja is the title awarded to Arul mozhi varma after the victory of pandiya and chera. He also awarded as pandiya nataka, kerala nataka, sinhala nataka. He also awarded as telugu kula kaala and Kshatriya sihamani. This is solid evidence he belong to telugu Kshatriya. Elder brother of raja Raja is aditya karikala , he awarded title as "veera pandiya thalai konda kopara kesari" that means "big lion who cut pandiya head". All cholas had continuous fight with pandiya and chera. 10) since chola temple inscription are in Tamil, cannot be considered as proof.. Because temple inscription always in local language to be understandable by local people while walking around temple. Kulotgunga chola and his successors who came from vijayawada kept temple inscription in Tamil , inside current tamil nadu region. And vijayanagar king who came from hampi kept inscription in Tamil, in current tamil nadu region.. Major vijayanagar temple built during sri krishna deva raya, but his mother tounge is tulu . 11)Below are list of cholas forefathers from thiruvalangadu copper plates, major name cannot be written in Tamil language. Manu, Ikshvaku Vikukshi Puranjaya Kakutstha Kakshivat Aryaman Analapratapa Vena Prithu Dhundhumara Yuvanasva Mandhatri Muchukunda - Purukutchan Vallaba - Thirisanku Prithulaksha - Harichandra Parthivachudamani - Rohita Dirghabahu - Bahuha Chandrajit - Sakara Sankriti - Asamanja Panchapa - Amsuman Satyavrata - Bhageeratha Rudrajit - Asthamaha Sibi - Dasaradha Marutta - Katvanga Dushyanta - Dirkhabagu Bharata - Raghu Cholavarman - Aja Rajakesarivarman - Dasaratha Parakesarin - Rama Chitraratha Chitrasva Chitradhanvan Suraguru (Mrityujit), Chitraratha Vyaghraketu, Narendrapati Vasu (Uparichara), Visvajit Perunatkilli Karikala kochchenganan.

Even about Mauryas, Ahoms, Guptas, Southern Yadavas, Pallavas, Pandyas etc. along with Ay Kingdom and Koli Dynasty in addition to the Kalingas and their descendants "The Gajapati Kings" - *We know next to NOTHING* . Thanks to the burning of our ancient Libraries and the final standing Jaffna Library in Sri Lanka - *Almost all our records of our History has gone into the water.* Blood boils to think we even allowed these invaders and colonials to do all the damage.

Actually it is the colonialists who uncovered a lot of our history. Ashoka was forgotten for nearly 2000 years till his story was uncovered by Europeans when they came to India. Ask any India 300 years back if he know Ashoka, the answer is a resounding no. Pandas, Pallava, Ahoms are well known however always.

Normally Indian history is restricted only in North India. The historians and politicians never look beyond vidiya hills. People of North India also knows nothing about South India. It was knowingly or unknowingly neglected just like North Eastern part of India. For majority of people India is gujarat, rajasthan, punjab, himachal, kashmir, MP, UP, orissa, and west bengal. Hello friends, there were so many empires in Southern and North Eastern part of India. Their history had been ignored by historian, politicians and North Indians. It is a great shame. Without Southern and North Eastern part, India cannot be fulfledged INDIA. NORTHERN PEOPLE AND PLITICIAN SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THIS . This type of negligence is the reason for not winning the National parties in South. Due to this the regional parties are most wanted by the south people.

@@arghyadas2447 Vehemently I also longing for the unity of all Indians for the sake of the progress of our nation and it's people. At present non other than Mr.Modi can bring the progress to our nation. I have no doubt about it. But, in South, why he couldn't not win the confidence of the people. This is because, he could not connect with them. I also accept that, there are so many anti-national forces operating againt Modi and Hinduism in the name of NGOs, religion, languages, atheism and also some foreign elements to break India. As for as my opinion is concerned, our PM should be little bit more aggressive in tackling such devisive forces. Every month he should held a meeting in various part of South. @@saminathanmanickavasagam759 constitution doesn't allow to be that aggressive..actually our form of federalism confers to states or CMs a bit more open hand power than to centre other than in emergency situations. Now in my opinion we shouldn't fully leave the matters to any political party, rely and wait. May be, even the party that's in favor of our well being expects us to be activated at ground level as responsibile patriot Sanatani citizen too, to fight against those elements, to reestablish unity and fight for our culture, the party is just barred behind limits of constitution and expects us to cross the rest, may be! It'll provide support and protection in it's legal capacity that previous parties didn't many state govt parties now don't....so we, within our capacity and obviously in legal way, should take up these matters suo motu and actually start working at ground level rather than just being keyboard warriors....because it's already too late. Now you see, as you were talking about these elements, I found something smells like that ,there's a youtube channel named Verndant Christian and another facebook named We Dravidians...I don't know who they are but indulged in hate mongering, typical rice bag stuffs etc.. and most probably they're from southern states... see if you can unite your people against these platforms because algorithm didn't work, they nourish anything that's not good for...you know
