Woman, there's no the Ga/adanbges defeated the Ashantis. The British wanted to join the Ashanti kingdom to the gold coast so they brought all the coastal areas tribes together especially the Akwapim, Akyem, Akwamu, krobo, Fantes and Ga/adanbges and some Yorubas/Hausers to fight the Ashantis, And they were able to defeat them.

@@graceofori6470 Ga(s) are not from Nigeria. We passed through Nigeria in search of water and yes we defeated the Ashantis in the war of dodowa .. And mind you (Other tribes refer Nkran fuo to the people of Accra only "GA" ) but there are other Ga(s) from Osu, La, Teshie, Nungua, Tema. Ningo, Togo, Benin.. Before the Dodowa war, people of Accra went to help the british to defend the Ashantis from attacking them. When the Ashantis realized that, they retreat and they said 'they will punish the people of Accra' . Not knowing, other tribes of Gas were called to join forces including the Dangmes .. This is why the Ga tribe is 14 .. 7 form Gamashie (Accra people into 1) and other 6( Nungua, Teshie, Osu, La, Tema, Ningo Prampram) Because the stools of Accra comes together to form Gamashie, we have 7 independent Ga tribes which is different from the Dangmes.. We all came together to win the war of dodowa .. You can do your research ..
