I love Jubilee but I was frustrated with X-Men Apocalypse for having Jubilee but not even bothering to say her name or what her mutation.

Your story telling style makes this story even more fabulous.

One problem I always had with the xmen is they are supposed to be training all the time and getting stronger but most of them have very static power levels. Jubilee should have found more ways to use her power like maybe form an energy blade. Or flight like canonball. Using explosions. Even another commenter talking about energy armor would be interesting. I would write it so her real powers would mimic her wondra abilities. Like subconsciously she shaped her powers to do what she could do with the suit. They are always talking about being a school for gifted but teaching a kid who keeps waking up in a pool of water to control his ability to pull water into existence to not wet the bed isn't a very interesting story I guess.

I love Jubilee too. Shadowcat, Dazzler, and Jubi are my top fave X-Men characters. nice vide, she's changed over the years

After a second look, I'm rather sad you didn't go into her solo series at all...or mention the Wolverine & Jubilee mini-series they spun off about 4 years ago.

I'm doing a jubilee cosplay and this was amazing to help me better understand the character I want to portray not a weak useless mutant but a strong one that is vital to the x men.

Hey! Really good recap of Jubilee's history. However, you did miss some parts after she became a vampire... After the X-Men hold her in custody, Wolverine takes her on a trip to Siberia, as seen in the Wolverine and Jubilee four issue miniseries. It is here that her powers of super strength, speed, endurance, fighting skills, and mist form come into more detail. Also, she becomes more like her old cheerful personality as she gains control over her vampire powers. That is then when she goes to Paris with Logan to visit Gambit and X-23. After that, Jubilee joins the X-men recon team of Storm, Warpath, Psylocke, and Colossus... She helps them on a few missions until the vampires known as The Forgiven take her under their wings to teach her more control. Then, she comes back with baby Shogo. :) like I said, though... Amazing review and great to see another mega Jubilee fan.

I would like to see how you aboard the Jubilee's crush on Tim Drake during the Marvel Versus DC event... Maybe in a "History of Marvel Versus Dc" Video? Please make it happen!

Faust, I discovered your videos by accident about a month ago. I have watched several of them. I enjoy the effort you put into your work including the obvious depth of your research. Besides, I like learning little new factoids of information about comics as studying for my doctorate doesn't really give me time to indulge myself in a hobby.

I love your videos.They so entertaining. I'm a 37 year old woman who hasn't read comics in nearly 20 years. Gen X was still around, and in fact, fairly new when I stopped reading them. Every once in a while I'll pick a comic book up at the book store and flip through it, remembering how much I used to enjoy them. Every time I end up thinking "WTF... I give up," and shelving it again, Your videos give me hope of being able to figure them out if I want to get back into them.

Even though it was pointed out several times in the GenX comics that Jubes had far more experience than any other GenXer, I think she was placed there mainly to be around mutants closer to her age group. Not to mention to better refine her powers I use to love GenX, but then they got all weird, going on magical missions were they fought things like: trolls & fairies. I stopped buying the books shortly thereafter. They really only fought one teen super villain team. I wanted to see them fight more villains their own age, as well as befriend mutants their own age. I don't get the whole Jubes being a vampire route writers went with her. She should've regained her powers after "mutant births were jumpstarted" again. It would've been more interesting to me, if Jubes's powers evolved to the point where she could make amor, like the mutant "Armor". She wouldn't be able to use her "paffs" in this form, but she'd gain enough strength & durability to become a mini "Colossus". But she should gain "stealth" powers by refracting light off her armor & her mind would be shielded from psychic detection. Once her "paff armor" is shattered or freely dropped by her, Jubes should be able to use her regular "paff" powers.

I loved her in the animated series. Thanks for the history lessons. I never knew she was so powerful.

Here I thought she was a a character Marvel coughed up for the animated series so the series would appeal to their target teen demographic.

You forgot to mention that, while the X-Men knew about some of the people who were captured by Bastion, they didn't even know that Jubilee was missing until she was rescued... You also forgot to mention that while Bastion had Jubilee, sh almost lost hope when she saw that Wolverine & Jean Grey had been captured, when after she taunted Bastion, basically stating that she didn't believe the image he was showing her was real, then she noticed Wolverine reaching out for Jean, & she knew that Bastion wouldn't have thought to stage that kind of thing... Jubilee is one of my favorites as well...

Her powers are similar Gambits & Cyclops she can generate pyrotechnic energy plasmoids thats she can make explode 🤯 and turn in to rays of energy
