I'm more interested in King's story than the Mishima's to be honest.

For those who didn't already know, King was heavily influenced by manga/anime character and real-life pro-wrestling character "Tiger Mask". Like King, Tiger Mask was replaced by an orphan from the orphanage the original was a patron of.

Looks like armor king pulled a sub-zero.....

i like how instead of making armor king a generic rival character, they made him king's good friend who helped with his depression and trained king's prodigy.

King definitely has the most consistent and interesting storyline in Tekken. I love the fact that King is a mantle shared by no more than 2 warriors.

King's story is based on Fray Tormenta a real mexican priest that became luchador to help orphan children.

I never paid attention to the lore of Tekken. I'm surpriced the characters has this deep backstories to them that expands at every game release. Im actually impressed. You do a great job going through the lore and keeping it interesting. Thanks for making these videos!

Subbed. Also, I realized that backstories from many fighting game characters are far better than from TV shows and movies.

He was not my favorite character but he has the most inspiring story and the biggest heart for a good guy in the series. King is a very bold guy who stands by what he believes in, he is the kindest character in the story. He fights for kids who are less fortunate and don't have homes, in my opinion no character in Tekken is more heroic than King himself.

Back when I played tekken arcade machines, I was always drawn to king for some reason. Glad as I got older, I found out he's a really awesome character.

This would make a sick Netflix series. Hour long episodes for each character and incorporating everyone's story and then a full length film to show the tournament

King is such a kindhearted beast.. We all loved him growing up playing Tekken, I remember being excited to play as King and try and attempt is final move which was hard. In my country, we have a mythological story of a diety called Narsimha, who too has a head of a big cat, a Lion, and he takes his avatar to save a kid from atrocities of his father, the story of King loving his orphanage kids, and Narsimha saving that kid from his father is so similar in nature I can't help but mention that. Do look for dramatization of Narsimhas appearance, there are many but among them there is one that you will love.

One of the coolest aspects about King 2's life is how post Tekken 6 he decides to start a wrestling promotion that sounds similar to what the current form of NXT does and that is develop and help grow the next generation of wrestling superstars both male and female mostly because he realized he's no longer the young man he was in T3, T4, and T5 along with realizing that the combo of age and injuries received in both the wrestling ring, and the various KoIF/Tekken tournaments will eventually catch up to him and overtake him. It's also one of the reasons why after why he convinced Marduk, and Armor King 2 to have that retirement match between after their successful operations because he realized at their age the violent feud between them will eventually reach the sad conclusion of one of them or both of them dying so he had to personally step in with a way to end it that doesn't result in either one of them dying or worse both of them dying. It's kind of cool of to realize that when he first donned the jaguar mask to become the 2nd King he was a hot-headed guy in his early 20s who wanted to continue King's legacy but now he's matured into a insightful man who is wise enough to realize the dangers of his profession and is already thinking of the bigger picture and wants to lay down the foundations for the next generation of wrestlers to insure the legacy he inherited would never die/fade away.

I thought my life was complete when I successfully completed King's 6 combo Suplexes in Tekken 3.

So is it just a common trope of a luchadore to be good with children and to fight for children because we have King 1 and 2, Nacho Libre and El Toro from Jackie Chan Adventures and all four are luchadores who fight for children, three of which take care of an orphanage so it's starting to become a recurring theme. Also, it takes a big man to do what King 2 did. He had every right to want to kill Marduck, but he didn't. He fought him, spared his life and earned a best friend and tag team buddy, he didn't continue the cycle of vengeance like Armor King 2 is doing. This is a complete contrast to the Mishimas I feel. They all seem to be going at it for revenge, with most everyone wanting to take revenge against Heihachi and look what it's gotten them. A full blown World War, two of them are being taken over by the Devil Gene, another losing his memory and attempting to kill his father, this chain also has affected other people, Lee Cholan is now in the middle of this family fight, Eddy Gordo was affected to it as well as that Mexican guy in Tekken 6. The Mishimas focus solely on revenge and are screwing their own lives as well as everyone elses, King 2 spares a man he has every reason to hate and gains a friend and a tag team buddy and the only problems arising is Armor King looking to exact revenge on Marduk. I find that rather interesting.

My biggest question is what are King 1 and King 2's real name and faces? I asked because I think they would be much more engaging then Nocho Libre.

In an old ps magazine the first king is referred as warrior king. Kinda like it I hope in the next tag tournament we can get all 4 of kings with different styles.

For fucks sake, someone should make a movie about this. Animated would be way better.
