Hello everyone!
Welcome back to another History of breakdown and analysis!
Now In todays video, we will be talking about a member of the Shokan kingdom and champion of the Tigrar bloodline, Kintaro!
Now In order for me to really talk about Kintaro properly, I actually first have to talk about the shokan kingdom and abit on outworld Itself, as their are in fact two different races within the Shokan kingdom!
So I hope you enjoy this video and learn more by doing so!
Now a little known fact about myself Is that Im actually a pretty big fan of Kintaro, I’ve always visually loved his design and how he’s tied to the lore being a Tigrar.
Now heres a fun question for all of you, who was your favourite sub boss in the old trilogy of games? Seeing as I have covered them all recently?

Honestly, the concept of Goro and Kintaro is pretty good as Goro is represented as the dragons while Kintaro and his people are represented as a tiger as they are seen as natural enemies or rivals in Chinese mythos. I don't see enough people talk about this enough.

Kintaro is huge underrated character of Mortal Kombat never been in the movies, cartoons or shows and he's a original MK character.

Personally, I feel he's been misrepresented since he debut in MK2. His Kabal orgin was fine, but it should've been Motaro. I don't think he has much to offer in the NEW time-line, but I wouldn't mind playing as him if he were DLC. I'd rather FIGHT him though as a boss. He was SO hard, yet awesome to battle during my childhood. I want that THRILL again you get when you ACTUALLY defeat him. 😉👍

I sure hope so, since Goro and Sheeva have already been DLC we should be seeing Kintaro as DLC in MK12 hopefully. It would make sense. I really do hope Kintaro comes back someday and be better then ever, he's always been my favorite and he needs a lot more love

Kintaro has always been my favorite sub-boss. It’s not just him that’s been mistreated in recent MK media. A handful of characters are being tossed aside or turned into jobbers for the sake of focusing on newer, forgettable characters.

Used to see Kintaro as Goro's copy, but with what they fleshed out in the comic I really dig the whole hungry, plebeian yet immensely powerful warrior who found himself worthy of fighting for the Kahn. Clubber Lang vibes as well.

I would love to see either a game, comic, or animated film that covers some of the old school Shokan/Centaur feud. Get to learn more about the characters of those races we already know, while meeting some new ones and expanding on that whole period of time.

@@KINGHAMSTERR I can’t remember back then we had magazines and friends talking in class with no internet so things like Ermac being and error in the code etc was more interesting just like kintaro possibility of being Goros grandfather. Because there was no instant answer destroying the fun of things like hidden characters etc

@@KINGHAMSTERR I can’t remember where the rumour started, it was often either a magazine or like i say friends talking at school but i never questioned it because a lot of the time things like Ermac being an error came from the same kind of sources and for many years it was thought he truly was an error but it was just Ed Boon being clever. I mean he still does things like that on twitter but the problem is we have people who data mine and then the net spreads the info so making mythos like that is harder these days. Mind you we have stuff like meteor towers which took a year to discover but now everyone knows instantly once someone finds it. Back then someone would find it but it would take time for word to travel. In the game tips on mk11 it says something about ermac with the words all jumbled like there is errors in the code again so i love little eastereggs like that reminding us of the old days. All my favourite characters came from them being hidden such as Reptile, Ermac and Noob Saibot. Would be cool to see what they would do with chameleon and the likes with today’s versions of the game.

Yeah I noticed the games got more difficult from 1-3 with each new game. Only way I ever beat Motaro was with my best character after MULTIPLE re-tries.

Kintaro has always been my favorite sub-boss. Finally getting to him on the mountain was a big accomplishment for me as a youth, and finally defeating him the first time felt like quite an accomplishment. Besides nostalgia, I just think his look is the most creative out of all of the original bosses.

He is one of my favorites espevially with his more feral look in the comic and I hated how he was treated. His death at Sonya's hands made me dislike her even more (Yeah Johnny and her are my least liked haracets and by extention Cassie who has the blood of both).

Kintaro is my favorite Shokan and my most favorite sub boss from the original timeline. His MKX comic book look was the best feral design and would've been a great ally to Earth Realm if treated with the respect he deserves. I think it'd be best to have himself and Sheeva rival Goro and Motaro in MK12 instead of making that story dlc, because the story in MK11 is such a mess!

I personally love all 3 Goro, Kintaro, & Sheeva are my favorites. I love all 3 them equally. 🙏🏻 I haven't really been exposed too much to Motaro to call him my favorite. 👀 So can't quite decide on him.
