@Ricky Nelson Although I agree with you that changes are not necessarily bad, what you said about treating the MCU as its own universe isnt true. The MCU is an adaption of the comics. The Ultimate Universe was always meant to be seen as an alternate universe.

@Ricky Nelson True, changes are needed especially when dealing with something as loose as comics, but like it or not, the MCU was intended to be an adaptation of the comics and the Ultimate universe, while technically an adaptation, was always meant to be a new universe for new audiences to dig into.

I remember reading the 76 version in the 80’s; I loved his ship in that universe, it was sentient and the AI could materialize itself as a hot physical female to how we say keep him company on long voyages. That ship was also like the Tardis in that it utilizes dimensional space making it far roomier inside than the physical exterior.

I remember the original guardians of the galaxy team - Martinex from Pluto, Charlie 27 from Jupiter, yondu, Vance Astro, Stakar and his sister (Starhawk) and Nikki from mercury. Most of these characters were introduced at the end of the second guardians of the galaxy movie

Star-Lord's original origin: Peter Quill was an astronaut on a NASA space station when an alien race arrived, warning the astronauts of an impending threat. The aliens told them that one of them who was heroic and worthy would be given the costume and weapons of the Star-Lord to fight this threat, but when their choice turned out to be someone Peter had a petty grudge against, he knocked him out and stole the suit and weapons, leaving the space station to shirk his duties as the Star-Lord and have adventures in space. There's not really much to like about him there.

I prefer the origin from the Annihilation comics where he set out into space to become a space hero, but ended up something of a disappointment. I think he was also just a normal human at that point, though I could be mistaken. Stupid retcons.

I think Cosmo should either have his own movie or should show up in guardians of the Galaxy volume 3, because I just recently finished season 3 of the 2015 gotg cartoon, and Cosmo is a very big part, I wonder why he's not in the mcu as a big importance yet (I do remember he was in the collectors place in the mcu)
