Great video. Wish you could have stayed longer in some of the areas. Thanks for showing the current status of what used to be the world fair. That's really trippy. If it had been kept, I can see it being used as multi use shopping area and event center rolled into one. I'm guessing the cost of creating that now would be much higher than it was back in the day. Very educational!

I love Portland, the architecture is phenomenal... this is very interesting. I used to live down the street from Queen Anne’s Victorian Bell and during Christmas they decorate and open to the public. It’s incredible. Love your video, thank you fir sharing!

If you visit Abraham Lincoln's house that he built (in Illinois), there was an outhouse in the yard, and a family tub in the kitchen. No bathroom!

Also part of the Lewis & Clark Exposition was the "World's Largest Log Cabin" which, sadly, was destroyed by fire in the early 1960's My brother and I enjoyed many weekends exploring that massive structure. Mere words and pictures will always fail to convey its majesty and scale

While this is a great Portland example of a typical SF Italianate (albeit 20 years late, in the 1880s) it’s not at all “Full House”. Those houses, on Alamo Square, are Queen Anne’s, from the 1890s. Queen Anne’s do not have the false front of Italianates (1860s) and Stick style (1880s) but show their (generally) pitched roofs. Too bad they had to take this house so far out of context. PS, the Victorian era is not because “this is about the time Victoria ruled” it is the entire reason for the name of period.
