its the main reason I'm here, the cool part about Ian and Othais's videos are the historical context, after that it's the mechanical function. I'm not that interested in the shooting segment because all I'm doing is watching someone else have fun while I'm not able to have fun.

Hello From Costa Rica, Don't worry Othais, Spanish is difficult for the majority of English-speaking natives. Giro using the G sound like in Cat "Gato" is the correct pronunciation in Italian. Using the J sound like in Giraffe "Jirafa" is Spanish. The Meaning of Giro in Spanish and Italian is the practically the same: turn, spin, rotation. And Campo is Countryside. Thanks all the visible and invisible crew for the history lesson.
@jonrolfson1686
@jonrolfson1686 3 жыл бұрын
So spinning field or rotating plaza…. Could the estimable Count Campo-Giro actually have been properly fated to develop the Lewis gun with its flat rotating magazine? Was it only by some twist of tortured fortune that the good Count instead found himself bound to the development of an overpowered blowback pistol that bites those whom it defends?

Disassembly tip. Often the cross pain has to be driven out because it is somewhat battered from use. I have found that instead of locking the slide back, let it stay forward. Then place a small object, I use 1/4 inch ball bearing, between the firing pin and the lowered hammer. The spring pressure of the hammer on the object will push the firing pin forward, which releases the lock on the crossbar and it can be driven out from right to left. That way, you have two hands two engage in the bar driving without having to use a third hand to press the firing pin forward.

@@jonrolfson1686 Nope, you're good. Doner kebab is Turkish, the Greek version is a gyro, and the Arab's version is a shawarma. If interested, search KZfaq for "Greek gyro" for a pronunciation video.

As a Spaniard, many of us don't bother correcting people, since they won't really be able to manage the correct pronunciation and it's not like either of us have the time to waste on practicing until they get it right. As long as we understand what they're trying to say, we'll just suppress the cringe and ignore it.
