Thank you Kapil Ji Forget Nehri Ji, you cannot find one person in BJP who can match the qualification and accomplishments of Jayaram Ji. In the event of INDIA Alliance come to power on June 4th, the first decision should be taken is to investigate ON FAKE DEGREE CERTIFICATE. What if it is found that thery are, indeed, fake certificate? Request Kapil Ji, please let people know what would be the repercussions / consequences. Not just within India, the entire (not political science) world will laugh at us. It would be a Century's shame for India. Our yougsters seeking opportunities abroad will be seen with suspicion. This discussion should have come as a white paper or supplementary to INC Nyay Patra Election Manifesto, because if Pandit Nehru ji and Members of the Ministry/ Cabinet had not laid the foundations of Independent India, there would been very little progress and development today, to boast of today. Once the foundations are in place, only then can superstructures be built. But Modi ji and the Party want to live in denial of the same and want the nation to believe that development & growth took place only after 2014 ! How mistaken & prejudiced one can be.

Those who love to bash Nehru Gandhi and try to make Ambedker look greater than them must read history properly. Ambedkar was British supporter while Nehru Gandhi have been true freedom fighters . They were immensely popular among masses including all sections of the Indian society. Not only that They were reforming society from within be it casteism, ,communalism, gender discrimination or farmers or Tribal rights. Read Nehruji works one would wonder the comprehensiveness of his thougts and area of actions. Gandhi ji did not preach equality. He lived it..which so called upper caste leader think of cleaning public toilets , learn shoe making , live with untouchables? For non Congress leaders it is a tool to use ambedker against Nehru Gandhi. Shame today's so Called dalits don't include Gandhi Nehru as their own leaders . It's just a dirty politics

ambedkar Did more for poor of this country, meanwhile nehru gandhi were both casteist at it's best. Ambedkar fought for dalits, He worked for dalits alone, cause gandhi didn't cared about dalits at all. Nehru and Gandhi were both brahmins, for them problems of dalits were not real. Ambedkar worked with King shahu and others to uplift dalits from shackles of untouchability. He fought for the rights of dalits, cause no one else was

@@SurajYadav-rr1ss Ambedkar did nothing greater than Gandhi Nehru or the Congress leaders. Was stooge of British . It was magnanimity of the Congress he got seat in the first govt before 1950 and it was special recommendation by Gandhi ji he got opportunity to be part of constituent assembly. He never supported the idea of constituent assembly intact. Gandhi Nehru worked more for schedule castes than Ambedker. In his life he did not even win seats in regions with SC communities in majority. SCs preferred Gandhi Nehru and Congress pre and after independence. It was America British sponsored movement in the name of Ambedker Of 70s 80s and 90s that made him a hero and carved out separate vote bank of dalits. Nothing great has come out of this movement except more bitterness and separatist feelings among communities. India is suffering because of separatist ideas of Ambedker. He was a scholar and indeed a capable legal expert. But that is all. He was chairman of draft committee of constitution. Since 90s to apease SC and other back word voters he has been projected as the only man who made constitution. 299 people made our constitution. The idea which he opposed completely

@@SurajYadav-rr1ss support to Gandhi ji 's ashram was taken away because he invited a harijan family to live in the ashram. Gandhi ji was under tremendous pressure yet never relented to castiest forces. Vikram Sarabhai 's father gave aid to run the ashram then. Gandhi ji used to clean common toilets, nalis not just of ashram but of villages. He used to live among SCs. He tried to learn crafts like shoe making. He was attacked by so called high casts for not following casteism. He died not because of Pakistan or hindu mulsim but his reformed ideas of Hinduism that contradicted fundamentalists of Hinduism. What did Ambedker do ? He left Hinduism accusing them in every way. Gandhi ji lived and died for the principle of equality and oneness of humanity while Ambedkar kept spewing venom against all swarns with zero regard or gratitude to swarn people who helped him in his life journey. He kept talking of separate states / villages / corridors for SCs . Never served the freedom fighters 's cause. His followers carry his bitterness and opportunism. Mayavati is biggest example of a misguided generation he fostered by his works. What good has she brought to SCs or Indians in general? Zero contribution to development of UP or India. Playing victim card is easy and favourite task of Ambedkarites. They have helped sanghis to capture power. Just like ambdker used to help british his heirs are helping sanghis .

If it wasn't for ambedkar, Sc-st wouldn't even have allowed to step foot in goverment services. Nehru served more to his upper caste pals than poor. For example, gandhi nehru had power for almost 50 years post independence, but still India has rural areas which are just as backwards as They were in 1960s. Ambedkar left Hinduism cause he and his followers were not treated equally. Gandhi was a uncle tom, a coward more than anything, who sided with Muslims rather than Sc-st. It was Ambedkar's constitution that assured everyone gets equal rights, Otherwise congress literally allowed muslims have their personal laws

Jayaram Ramesh has been a terrific think tank for INC who has been instrumental in mentoring Rahul Gandhi and i reckon perhaps been the major contributor for the concoction of the Bharat Jodo Yatra of R.G. He has been the actual Dronacharya and a true loyalist of the Gandhi Parivar. Kudos for his achievement as his strategies have started to shape up and show great colours for the image of R.G and INC as a whole.

Thanks to Kapil Saibal ji the nation and especially the younger generation is being given a window to look at how the Nation became a Modern Independent Republic , thanks to the foresight of Pandit Nehru ji and like minded leaders in politics, and leaders in every field that helped to build modern India of today which we are beneficiaries of. For a moment if we close our eyes and imagine if these were not there then what sort of a Nation we would be today ? I shudder to think! One of the main reasons for BJP to target Nehru & not Indira Gandhi is that our country faced a defeat in 1962 war against China during Nehru 's regime whereas during Indira Gandhi period India gave a crushing defeat to Pakistan. So it's easy for BJP to target Nehru but not Indira. But Congress too should learn to accept it's failures also openly. In this discussion also Jairam Ramesh avoided to take reference to China war. If Congress 's new leadership builds up the courage to accept its two blots - China war & Emergency then it can blunt all other attacks on it very easily or rather put BJP on backfoot on almost all their allegations.

Thank you Kapil Sibal for this enlightening series of discussion. It's a tragedy that learned people like Jairam Ramesh should be in opposition these past 10 years while our democracy has been tranquilized with lies and hateful propaganda of the BJP. Just wish that every patriotic Indian takes time to educate themselves on their history so that they learn about the wisdom, openness and contributions made by the first PM of Independent india. All who agree should make sure that this reaches to all Indians including Modi and BJP supporters so that they are freed from the shackles of ignorance and denial.

And let me add: When Nehru visited the US in November 1961, the then American President Kennedy called it as "the worst head-of-State visit" and considered the former Prime Minister's last days as "the town preacher being caught in the whorehouse". Nehru got the PM post on platter….his utter failure was on foreign affairs….very tactical and lack of strategic thinking led to creation of Kashmir issue, loss of land mass to china and Hindu rate of growth. Thanks to Narasimha Rao who faced with bankruptcy had to start reforms

Best Estimate: NDA including BJP about 250, INDIA Alliance including Congress about 220, 70 to 80 seats will go regional parties who currently are neither supporting BJP nor supporting Congress, these jokers will become the kingmakers, who they align with after results have come out will determine whether next Prime Minister will come from NDA or from INDIA Alliance. You are talking of tokenism . Mayavati has done the same. What good it brought to dalits by erecting statues or renaming things after Dr Ambedkar? If you claim that all places / things named after Nehru Gandhi family then how come today's generations know nothing about their work? How come people like you hate them ? Naming places / things bring no real value to the legacy of greats like Ambedkar or Nehru. Read their works Observe their life paths Inculcate their values It's far better. Btw ambedker was promoted by Gandhi Nehru only else he being a British Raj supporter would have lost his value after independence
