also despite Kronika’s claims of erasing Raiden from her new era, i don’t think the keeper of time can erase a soul from ever existing. This is proven by the fact that Liu Kang didn’t simply just erase Shang, Quan Chi, or Shao Kahn from existing and it’s because he can’t but he can strip them powerless, like he did with Shinnok.

The only characters that seem to have been erased completely from the timeline are Kronika through death and Cetrion who hasn’t been referenced at all in MK1. Erron Black probably lived in the past before MK 1’s story began and he died either naturally or from a gunfight and not be around anymore since he never met Shang Tsung who gave him something to make him live longer than he really should have. Torr I’m thinking is now a separate being and can live without Ferra. Kai is probably one of the nameless students at the Wushu Academy. Skarlet as we know her might not exist since she was the creation of Shao Kahn.

Can someone tell me where the notion that Shinnok was just flat out stripped from existence come from? Like most people, that’s what I have been under the impression of. But now that I think about it, I can’t remember what it was in the story that suggested that that might be the case? Like was something said or was something alluded to that suggested that? I haven’t seen the entire story mode in full since shortly after the game came out, so I forgot some of the smaller details.

I actually believe that not everyone except Raiden and Shao had died in Armageddon as Liu Kang is still stuck in spirit form and only his physical body was killed and he needed it to be fuller brought back to life and he couldn’t do anything after Zombie Liu Kang died. Taven and Daegon are also most likely alive because their bodies were nowhere to be seen on the Pyramid. Khamelon is also missing from the Pyramid as well and it is possible that she had become invisible and just waiting to attack Shao Kahn the very first opening she saw as she would be blindsiding him as he’d think no one was left to challenge him. It makes sense as Khamelon’s main motivation in life was to kill Shao Kahn in vengeance for killing off the Saurians and using Reptile as a pawn. She had no real beef with any of the other characters so why would she fight and kill any of them at the Pyramid? All she would need to do is go into camouflage mode and carefully sneak up the other side of the Pyramid which shouldn’t be too hard as she is reptilian and can easily scale the walls without anyone noticing and just blend in with a wall at the top.

Playable wise, yes it did.. They made their first appearance in Mortal Kombat Mythologies Sub Zero as story bosses. Their official debut on the roster is exactly Mortal Kombat 4.
