Hitachi air nailer repair. If your roofing air nailers break down don't throw them away and buy a new one, typically it's an easy repair which could save you hundreds of dollars! There are typically only a few moving parts and some valves, so it's usually an easy repair and can save o ton! If you got anything good out of this video please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing to the Grand Roofing channel and ring in the bell notification so you're notified when the next video comes out.

Good shit. I remember a few years back we made our own forge, while collecting the gear to build it we got chatting to some fellas and now we make blacksmith tongs for companies around the globe. Not bad for a side project of a skylight company.

Thanks been working on the guns at work and this helped a lot to figure out why air was leaning. Now to order the parts to replace them.

One key point is when you do buy tools by quality and stay with the same brand that works. Great video.

You can also weld a piece of carbide onto the tip. It lasts virtually forever and there’s no need to keep adding material. Total game changer for those who gauge their shingles

I will agree 100% with throwing hoses off a roof. Big pet peeve indeed. Generally we gently lowered them down not to damage the hose or fittings. I have seen before a hose got thrown off and landed on a nail and punctured it and now we have to repair the hose. Also when tear off tools get thrown off bothers me a lot. Great way to break the handle bend the teeth.

Not to mention old Hitachi & Bostitch roofing, siding, and framing nailers ARE GOLD, and they don’t make new guns like this anymore; so definitely repair it; as they the GO TO NAILER if using pneumatic nailers. Would never just throughout, especially when buying replacement parts not too hard as they pretty much universal from brand to brand and part to part ¹ Glad didn’t throw that out, and if did, wish was there to pick out of bin; cuz I woulda for an old school hitachi nailer! You bet you I woulda of😂 Cheers✌🏻 ¹ yes, know there’s some variances that do need to be mindful of, but for most cases if have hitachi/Metabo hpt nailer and needs fixing….parts will work for all, Same w/ diff Bostitch nailers AND WHAT MAKES THEM SOUGHT AFTER, besides reliably, repair ability, and they just work when take care of em! Love those brands. Also, compared to battery, they weigh NOTHING, lol, but yeah, battery nailers do have there place, and can’t wait till finally get to point when battery nailers same as pneumatic when comes to weight, reliable, built like a tank and can take abuse (let’s face it, some ppl crews don’t buy the tools and a $200 pneumatic lot cheaper than $500 battery plus the extra for batteries and they don’t “apppreciate and take care of said tools”, imo of course….which any owner understands what saying😉

Own a Hitachi coil nailer model NV65AH use for siding and fences. Still fires but leaking air at top. Pulled top off but can't get the seal out. Seem to be pressed in. Any idea how to get the cylinder seat/seal out?

Question, I have my a/c on my roof and the drain was improperly installed so it just drips through a pvc pipe down to a bucket I have . Can I just redirect it to a roof plumbing vent?

Haha! Matoba? Matuba? But I've used plenty of Hitachi (Metabo) and Makita. Perhaps this is your play on words and an intentional mashup of brand names?

Lol. Buddy just cus your a old fart who cant/wont learn anything new when there's clearly a better way doesn't mean everyone should follow in your footsteps. I get it you were brought up doing things a certain way but things change and improve in efficiency. Learn to change with it.
