I see so much PSO and Gun Valkyrie in this. Didnt make Sega any money but it still had an effect/influence that few prob noticed. There will never be a more original/creative company in gaming history than SEGA.

Looks amazing. This game had so much potential for a franchise. Back when I saw Phantasy Star Online I remember thinking I wish there was an RPG like that set in Burning Rangers' world.

I REMEMBER this game... it was one of my favorites on the Sega Saturn. It's definitely an original that needs and update/sequel. They should include AFFF as another means of putting out fires and more Burning Ship scenes. Big-Landman should be a playable character from the start. I still have the jpg's and audio files from the original game!

The updated graphics do this game justice. The original was such a mess to look at for me back in the day.

One of the best features of the original burning rangers is how it solved the transparency issues of Saturn by performing deferred transparency, where all the transparent objects were rendered solid aside in a buffer and blended later into the screen via scroll plane blend ops. If Saturn had depth buffering, its transparency features would have been much easier to use. It is a slight lose though how the distorted sprites render is done with two triangles, as it suffer the classic triangular shapes appearing in vertex coloured stages, in Saturn the gradation spread more evenly on the sprites, giving a really nice effect to vertex colours in Saturn

I would love to finally replay this game in this new form until the end. I've never been able to finish it on the Sega Saturn.

Looks great although the limit system appears to be missing? Managing the spread of the fire and keeping the limit low was a key part of the experience. Also I can’t recall there being any music in game?

We need a remake of this game I've never played this game because I wasn't born in 1998 so a remake would be a great way for me to get into this game
