How do these feel compared to sanwa buttons? I find the sanwa buttons lack tactile feedback and are sometimes too sensitive and was looking at these crown buttons for the mechanical switch. Great video man, that stick looks great!
@GuyverSenpai
@GuyverSenpai 3 жыл бұрын
Hey man, much appreciated bro and thanks for checking out the video 👊🏾. To answer your question, they feel more sturdy and solid vs a regular sanwa button. The mechanical switch is great to the touch and provides excellent audio feedback when pressed (like a mechanical keyboard if you like that sort of thing). It is an expensive button to purchase vs the regular sanwa button, but you can immediately feel the difference in quality between the two. Hope this helps, and let me know what you think if you decide to purchase them in the future. 👍

Prefer tbe Crown /Samducksa 201 personally, but different job, requirements and person of course! I got plenty of them and it seems they are discontinued now, not getting restocked in Arcade world UK Paradise Arcade shop and others. The subtle two stage feel to the activation is good for simultaneously pressing two buttons precisely and you can also rest your fingers on them without accidental presses. They require more activation than seimitsu's even, more than ps14G or GN's. They're good for heavy handed people, but that's not my style of play , I just like that you can do simultaneous button presses 10/10 on them, not doing one button before the other, like doing parrys in Tekken. With Sanwas or 202 I feel its too light and it's very direct and just one drop down if that makes sense so I'm likely to press one button before the other because there is little room for error and quick travel. They say in martial arts, timing can negate an opponents speed, so I guess that's the approach I've taken. I think the best for me is Seimitsu PS14G for 2D fighters or the Crown 201 for 3D fighters. The 201s definitely require the more force and more travel than the Seimitsus. I think the only higher activation force are American buttons, Alex Nostalgix did a great video I reccommend everyone watch on sanwa, crown, seimitsu an othe buttons. I've no doubt the 202s are technically faster, and for a hitbox I think they'd be better than the 201's especially for an experienced player. I feel it's a shame they seem to have discontinued the 201 and I'd reccommend people give them a try before they are gone possibly, seems that GamerFinger also finished as far as I was aware? Good vid, I'm still wishing for that Guyver arc systems game 🙏🏻 🕹🇬🇧

You know what i really need to try out the Seimitsu buttons. I've got a Guyver custom stick (HRAP3) i need to mod to work with current gen which I may throw them into 🤔. Seimitsu has been a major company i've never purchased any of their buttons or sticks, but seen a ton of reviews on. Are there particular fighting games you use specific buttons for i.e. marvel use sanwa, tekken you use seimitsu etc? Also thanks for checking out the video 👊🏾
@Ozyrus
@Ozyrus 3 жыл бұрын
@@GuyverSenpai got three sticks, two of them have seimitsu ps14 buttons. One has ps14 GN (convex) it's an Astro City tribute build so technically is faithful with sanwa or seimitsu as they had both in the arcades, but seimitsu are better for me with more force activation. The other stick with seimitsu has ps14 G (FLAT) this is a tribute build mimicking the SNK Neo geo MVS U4 japanese cabinet so it uses the same buttons to be faithful, the flat button tops are good for two button simultaneous inputs like in Mark of the Wolves doing a T. O. P attack. The other stick though was purely for tekken and I went for the Crown 201 buttons specifically for that game, to always nail the parries every time without fail. To get those double presses exact, may not be everyone's thought process behind buttons but it might be for some, I just wanted exact timing on both fingers with slightly more travel and more force needed than other buttons. Get those parties on point every single time and minimise risk of stuffing the input, I feel it would be harder to achieve this on OBSF30 sanwas as they are so light. Also I made this with competition or online in mind, so that if you hitting the buttons a bit harder or in the heat of battle, you're more likely to not stuff the input up if you're going a bit mad and it's on 🔥 If you've never tried Seimitsu I definitely reccommend the PS14 GN (convex) basically is bang in the middle between a sanwa obsf30 and a crown 201 I'd say. I just did a quick button test Ps14GN, and a crown 202, they are quite similar, but I think for a hitbox crown 202s a bit snappier, slightly less activation force. Returns a bit quicker but also slightly taller plunger and a bit flatter shape , but if you want a similar button with more activation force, mor convex shape, slightly shorter plunger, for attack as opposed to movement buttons, Ps14GN is a good alternative for different purposes.

@@Ozyrus i hear you regarding Tekken and pressing two buttons at the same time. That issue has always annoyed me, glad to hear there are buttons which solved that issue. I'll definitely look into getting the Seimitsu PS14 GN buttons (not sure when i'll get them). Do you use a Seimitsu stick too?

@@GuyverSenpai you know what I started trying an LS-32 out couple days ago first time cos I'd always heard JLF Vs LS-32 for a long while. My jlf has 2.5 lb spring, Otto DIY V5 mod for the pivot and kowal actuator it's much improved from stock. But the LS-32 is just out of the box stock and had quite a lot of dead zone as I'm sure the Jlf may have had when it was plain too. Did have a paradise arcade shop actuator 1mm oversised for it. Doesn't seem to work without a stronger spring as the oversised actuator can just slightly remain up against a microswitch and stay there keeping the input pressed, strong spring should create less of a dead zone and bring the actuator back away from the switch. So far... I feel like you can achieve what an LS-32 gives you such as short throw and engage, just by modding the Jlf tbh ad it's got the oversize actuators, springs, V5 Otto DIY Teflon pivot. etc also pivot design is just better and smoother movement than ls-32, even if stock. ls32 has quite a large dead zone at least to me, but this actuator should reduce that provided the 2lb or 3lb spring is enough. If you really want you can then even put a short shaft in the jlf, similar to an ls32. but I'll get this stronger Seimitsu spring from aecade shock, and then once they're both modded, just do a head to head and see. The microswitches in the ls32 are 120 activation and jlf are 200 I believe. I've never used a hori, except for Namco Arcade stick ps1 I got, have you got a Hyabusa? They are quite moddable and interchangeable with JLF bits

Hey, No as I like in the UK it was impossible to get the Hitbox Brand Hitbox, so I got a custom hitbox from a UK supplier. In general a Hitbox Brand Hitbox should function the same way in allowing you to open it up, and manually swap out the buttons - the same way all premium (£100/$150+) made sticks do. If I was you I would send them a message on their Twitter account, or on their website to confirm it's possible. (www.hitboxarcade.com/pages/contact-us). Hope this helps.
