As far as I know he wasn't accepting donations from non-Dutch people and pretty much ignored the non-Dutch community.

@@GameyRaccoon Well then of course this would never become a full series. Holland is a small country. How many people did he think would be willing to fund this? And the fact that it was Dutch was a big part of the appeal for many fans who’ve never seen or even heard of media from that country at all. I don’t understand why he would throw out so much potential like that.

No he didn't? Just look at the credits of deel 6 and you'll see English speaking users. He absolutely did accept international donations, he just didn't wanna use Patreon because he thinks that Dutch Patreon is better, but you're still free to donate.

We didn't ruin Ongezellig, we loved it more than you ever did. We loved it in our own way. Obviously any show that gets popular is going to have bizarre and NSFW content but that doesn't represent most of us. Also > "reddit" Ongezellig's fanbase was always KZfaq and the Sharty. Reddit had nothing to do with anything.
