Join HittMadd as he ranks all of the Hitman games, except for Codename 47 because he couldn’t be bothered to play that one. Although, let’s be honest with ourselves, Codename 47 is like a D tier at best.

This tier list is created exactly as I would. To a tee. Never played C47, Absolution was a disaster, and started playing Hitman 2 during the silly and Pre ordered Hitman 3.

The game was great, I understand people liking it less than the others because it was more linear and less open sandbox, but saying it’s a “disgrace” is a wild statement, and I know it’s subjective but I don’t have an issue with saying your opinion is trash, because it is.

One thing I've actually enjoyed form the WOH games is the elusive targets mode and how you have to play it to unlock the classic suits. I initially didn't love the idea of having to grind to get 47's classic look, but it ended up being a really fun thing to just get on the game every month (and now every week) to complete those missions and work towards getting the classic suits lol.

Very helpful, I didn’t know which games were really the best, but I think I’m gonna try out blood money and world of assasination since I’ve heard they’re the best. Also a funny video too, gave me a couple laughs. Thanks!

@@skiderman1103 if you’re a newcomer to the franchise, I’d start off with world of assassination. But also keep in mind that this ranking was based off of my opinion. If you end up enjoying world of assassination, you’ll likely enjoy pretty much every other game in the franchise. The older games can be a bit tricky to get the hang of, which is a major reason why a lot of the earlier games are ranked so low for me, but once you get the hang of them, they’re fairly solid games. Definitely think I was too harsh on some of the older games, so don’t let me opinion discourage you from playing those. Glad you enjoyed nonetheless. Have a good one :)

I'd put Hitman 2 SA higher. I know it is very dated, but it was a groundbreaking game for it's time. I know this is nostalgia talking, but I have a lot of good memories with this game.

To be fair, I could've been nicer on SA. It was just my own personal experience with the game and having played it for the first time only a few months ago kinda soured it for me unfortunately. And as you rightfully say, for the time, it was great. Have a good one :)

Honestly, I have grown to love all thw Hitman games from H2:SA to WOA, even their worst missions. Fortunately, WOA took together the best of all games in a way but I still feel it could be improved for the perfect Hitman game.

Oh yeah, I’ve come to love parts from all of the Hitman games I’ve played, even Absolution to an extent lmao. But yeah, WoA seems to have gotten the closest so far to making the ultimate Hitman experience. As you say, there definitely are flaws with the new game that could be ironed out to make it even better, but I suppose we can’t always get everything unfortunately. Maybe when the next Hitman game comes out, we’ll finally witness perfection? Have a good one :)

I just got back into the Hitman series, I beat contracts in 3 days on the HD collection, might go for the platinum but expert is hard with AI but easy to shoot your way through it

My personal story with the modern Hitman trilogy is that i had ignored the franchise for a long time after Absolution, but i was one of the lucky 47.000 people that redeemed one of the free Steam keys for Hitman 2016 that IO gave away in March 2020 during the game's fourth anniversary. It took a LOT of refreshing the page, because *so many people* tried to get them that the servers pretty much collapsed lol. Hitman 2016 reignited my interest in the game, so then i bought the following ones, even waiting the whole Epic-exclusivity year to get Hitman 3 on Steam. Legendary trilogy. As for my favorite maps in the whole franchise, if i had to choose a top 5: 1 - Mendoza (can you tell i'm biased lmao) 2 - Maldives 3 - Dartmoor 4 - Sapienza 5 - Miami

World of Assassination is a fantastic game, especially now that the whole trilogy has been complied into the one big game. I first really got into Hitman during the lockdown in 2020, where I quickly became addicted to HITMAN 2 (2018) after initially just blasting though it over a weekend when I first got it earlier that year. Some good favourite map choices there as well. If you’re curious, I’ve done videos on each individual game in the WoA trilogy ranking all of the maps if you’d like to check them out! To be fair, I think I was a bit harsh on Marrakesh there. It’s definitely not a bad map by any means, but just in comparison to some of the other maps like Paris, Sapienza and Hokkaido, I just don’t think it’s really up to the quality of those levels. But hey, I’m glad you like it! We’re all entitled to our own opinions, after all. Have a good one :)

The reason why I didn't enjoy that much contracts is hole temporary sedative thing, it was an awful mechanic in the game, not to mention the npcs in this game are very sensitive, you run and they immediately get suspious of you.

Agreed. Was not a fan of the temporary sedative thing at all. The already clunky enough mechanics make the game challenging enough to play already. And yeah, the running thing was also pretty terrible. Although, I thought it was a bit better in Contracts, or at least when compared to Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. I think the guards in Contracts were maybe a bit more forgiving, but still, I think it's a bit extreme to open fire on a man going at a slightly faster pace lol. Have a good one :)

My Tier List is Codename 47 is a C tier it had some really cool levels and some brilliant ideas but its to dated and besides every single mission that is worth playing is in Hitman Contracts Hitman 2 Silent Assassin get an A tier it's pretty dated but it improved upon Codename 47 in every way and it's missions are some of the best like Invitation to a Party and Basement Killing but the best level is the first one in my opinion Anathema i think it's called is one of my favourite Hitman Missions of all time Hitman Hitman Contracts I'm giving this a A tier it was my first Hitman game so I'm very biased but it is dated but the meat kings party and Beldingford Manor are very good levels so yeah A tier Blood Money my baby This is a solid A tier because It has some of the best missions like A New Life and Faltline and we have the same favourite level A House Of Cards it is my favourite Hitman Mission of all time an my favourite npc in all of Hitman is the drunk woman that goes into your hotel room i remember how happy i was when i beat A New Life and Murder of Crows on Expert with Silent Assassin Rank but i would give it a S tier if some of the mechanics wasn't so dated but the game came out in 2006 so I'm not ganna hold it against Blood Money but yeah solid A tier now the most controversial opinion I'm giving Hitman Absolution a S tier😱 the disguise system is shit but i love this game and the gameplay is so fun sneaking around and stuff and i Love the hotel level and The King Of China Town and i love the tutorial and i love how dark the story is as well so this is my favourite Hitman Game Hitman 2016 i am going to give this a C tier the gameplay is great but it's so lackluster there are like 4 5 6 7 missions and yeah so C tier Hitman 2 2018 was great it had solid missions like Miami New York And A New Life's Remake so yeah solid A tier and Hitman 3 is also A tier the Dubai mission alone is A tier in my opinion don't really have much to say about it but great video and i love when you post so bye and have a good one😄

A very interesting take on Absolution for sure. To be fair to Absolution, it had a lot of really solid game mechanics that were able to be carried over to WoA and it worked great. The major thing that ruins Absolution for me at least is the whole Instinct system. The fact that blending in runs on a meter was just a bit of a stupid decision in my opinion. Kinda takes away 47’s main party trick of blending in seamlessly with the use of disguises, especially on higher difficulties where Instinct won’t fill up over time, forcing you to sneak around. Of course, sneaking around is all well and good. But when you straight up force the player to have to rely on a meter to maintain their cover, it just seems a little stupid to me. As someone who played codename 47. I would put it in c tier aswell, disguises are actually useful, but the colombia missions, and the obtuse problem solving drags it down sometimes. I guess its on the same level as the sequel for me Absolution would go on low c tier, yed the game is a shit hitman game but its basically the blueprint for the new trilogy And as for the rest of the games, yeah, feeling the same as you about them all

Yeah, I've seen and heard terrible things from the Columbia missions. Kinda weird how they never thought to try and remake them into something halfway decent for Contracts. Absolution had a lot going for it, but its wild and borderline nonsensical story as well as the terribly implemented Instinct mechanic really drag it down. As you rightfully say though, it laid the groundwork for WoA, so I can at least appreciate that. Have a good one :)

I disagree about Absolution, it's good. The fact that they took level formula from C47(getting to the target first few levels and only killing it after) and some targets like Wade and Skurky are linear sucks of course but overall it's a decent Hitman game.

hell codename 47 doesnt have a save system. it was apparently planned but it was cut due to playtesters completing the game too quickly

I feel like Codename 47 could really benefit from a full on remake. With all these game companies remaking their classic titles, I feel like a C47 remake could do very well. Have a good one :)

Or maybe the older games just haven’t aged very well. As I mentioned in the video, I’m still a newcomer to the franchise, as I’ve only been playing the games for the past 3-4 years. To be fair, it’s definitely because I started with the more modern entries that I rated the older titles so low. It’s just my opinion that the games haven’t aged well of course, you’re perfectly well entitled to believe otherwise, but that’s just from my experience of having played SA for the first time just as recently as this year Have a good one :)

C47 was pretty good . And then SA dropped. Was the craziest fucking game back then, tested your creativity. Obviously compared to modern games it's very limited.. but back then it was something special to experience it

Hitman 2 SA is still a great game.. you just have to know how to play it right. I saw your video playing that and you didn't even know the difference between crouching and sneaking. Rating that game that low is just unacceptable to me.

@@zeven1892 fair enough. In hindsight, I definitely should have took a bit more time to learn the control scheme. But even though my gameplay was… let’s just call it less than impressive, I still enjoyed the game for what it’s worth, but I admit that I’ve been spoiled by world of assassination’s controls to the point where I just became frustrated with the controls of SA to an extent. Definitely should give SA another try some point and try to master it a bit better instead of running around like a lunatic shooting everyone in the face. Have a good one :)

I personally try not to use guides at all whenever possible, but yeah I probably will have to give it a go with a guide at some point. But you do make a fair point, I will have to try out Codename 47 at some point. Probably should’ve played it for this tier list thing. But nah, me in my infinite wisdom decided to make a tier list video on every game without having played the first one. A rather genius move if I do say so myself lmao Will play it at some point. I used to feel the same way about Hokkaido, but once you know the layout and have those wee keycard hacking things, you could easily pull of just about any SASO run without having to knock someone out for their outfit. Marrakesh has admittedly grown on me a bit, but I still find it to be a big too large with a lot of space in between the key locations. Have a good one :)
