The credits showing up during your funeral, with his heartbeat picking up when you mash buttons, and him slowly getting up once it is high enough to finally silence his enemies who have all congregated to one place for said funeral, is easily one of the top moments in all of gaming. I love how Hitman Absolution has a story that has been completely deleted from the lore. Like the ICA would willingly let someone who destroyed their ranks, refused to finish a mission, and went rogue with their handler back into the group. Ironically theres references to when 47 was gardening with the church in sapienza as well as numerious blood money references. IOI is well aware of what theyre doing.

Hitman is the best game franchise along side Yakuza. 47 has really developed and matured as a character. Hitman 2 was an absolute all time best game.

The Hitman series has always been my favorite! Having said that; Hitman 2 having the cinematics replaced by power point presentations was a 'major' disappointment! Hopefully, in the future, they''ll do a remake with full cut scenes!

The part where Agent 47 crushes his own pet bird in his fist is the most brutal part of the whole series for me.

That is, of course, if you see the new ones as a reboot or a continuation. I personally see them as a “soft reboot” where the overall timeline is still there, but most things were either not as important or didn’t happen. There is a lot of stuff in the old games that just doesn’t fit with the new ones, and the new ones are called hitman 1, 2 and 3, so I think that’s a fair interpretation. I see the old games in a way where most of the kills happened to show what he has been doing the first 14 years in the ica, but most of the story things didn’t happen.

Absolution was class and still holds up today. I had previously only played hitman 2 silent assasin so I don't know how well it fits with the rest of the series.

Cool, I never actually got into the hitman series when I was a kid because when it first came out, just like was stated here, the character on the cover and in the game looked as bland and uninteresting as possible to me, one that indicated the game itself would be as bland and boring as it's mascot looked, instead of the character looking plain just to fit in anywhere. I understood the concept, but as a teenager that just sounded like a weak excuse for some weak character design. Now the game and his backstory is good enough that it doesn't even matter if he looks "boring-plain" or "normal-plain", for what it's worth; though it isn't much I suppose lol Either way: This series sounds like it's actually pretty cool and going to take more of an existential psychological thriller type of approach to in its third entry, which I'm luckily old enough to appreciate a little more now anyways, at almost 30 years of age. I look forward to playing through the whole thing myself once the third game comes out, so I can play them all in order. I bet anything we get an HD release of the first two games sometime this year to go with it, if not at the same time at least on digital platforms like steam and whatnot. People like me AND old fans alike would probably appreciate some kind of cool, physical 2020 Box Set Bundle Package with additional merchandise like shirts, maps, books, posters, pins, trinkets, toys, and other fan memorabilia. Something like that with an actual book on the entire history of the Hitman games and Agent 47 himself, and a diary/journal type thing with additional game info and facts and secrets and development art, etc. etc. from the series would be AMAZING.

I hate how everyone always skips over the lore they added with Contracts and essentially made it a flashback sequence that takes place immediately after the mission "Curtains Down" in Blood money. After killing Delahunt and the Tenor, 47 heads back to his hideout only to be met by Inspecter Fournier who recognizes 47 and shoots him. 47 gets away and while bleeding out in his hideout waiting for the doctor to arrive, he's having his life flash before his eyes and is recalling all of his most iconic contracts up until that point. As it turns out, the ICA fell out of favor with Interpol who is now working with a rival contractor, the Franchise, who tipped off Inspector Fournier that the 'Ghost' was currently in Paris on a contract. 47 kills the Inspector after he was tracked down to his hideout and lays low in the US, still working for the ICA until the Franchise catches up to him again and the ICA is forcibly merged with the Franchise after 47 unknowingly fakes his death with Diana's trickery, but this time awakes at his cremation and eliminates all of the Franchise's leaders.

I never had got the chance to even own the very first Hitman game I did play Hitman 2 and they did tell the story about that he was a clone and that he killed the the doc that created him that's how I found out that he was a clone I only wish that I was able to play the first one that then but thanks for this info.
