Good job on remembering the spiritual limiter at the beginning of this episode. === Zabimaru really doesn't deserve the crap he goes through because of Renji. === Subtitle Error: Yylfordt not Illfort. === Once again, someone is getting screwed over because they keep using Bankai when they haven't mastered it. Instead of relying on the raw power granted to them by their Bankai, these people should be improving their techniques, speed and strength and only use Bankai as a last resort rather than relying on an incomplete transformation. If HItsugaya wasn't so strong to begin with, and Ichigo has this same issue, then relying so much on his bankai would screw him over far more often than it does. Poor Renji sadly doesn't have the raw abilities to make up for his Bankai's shortcomings and almost always gets screwed over because of it. === Espada (エスパーダ, Esupāda; Spanish for "Sword", Japanese for "Ten Blades") Nice job on recognizing what Espada is spanish for. === Jaegerjaquez is spanish for Jaguar cat I believe. === Fun Fact: Grimmjow's first name stems from that of Nicholas Grimshaw, an English architect noted for modernist buildings. His last name Jaegerjaquez comes from a Swiss watch and clock manufacturer called Jaeger-LeCoultre. === Kubo doesn't always play by normal Shonen power scaling rules where the cast fights the villains in ascending order of power. He likes to throw curveballs to throw off audience expectations. === Note: Ikkaku and Rukia didn't have the limiters put on them because despite being lieutenant-level in power and skill they don't have the actual rank. This is why they actually won their fights.

This makes zero sense though, the limiter is placed on them because of their power level not because of their rank, I believe it's just stated to only be placed on Captains and lieutenants because for the most part they're the ones that would need it with a few exceptions and I refuse to believe that the Soul Society is just unaware of how powerful other members like Ikkaku and Rukia are. We learn about the seal from Renji who as a Lieutenant would likely have been told about the seal applying to Captains and Lieutenants, but I doubt they'd go into if there were exceptions to that rule because he has no need for that kind of information making him a somewhat unreliable narrator.

@@Sacrificial_Spaghetti It makes complete sense if it was never accounted for that that someone would possess the power and skill of a lieutenant or captain and not the rank. Ikkaku deliberately hid his true abilities and Rukia was artificially held back by Byakuya's abuse of power. Also, everyone in this series is an unreliable narrator since Kubo only uses an omniscient narrator in the Turn Back the Pendulum arc. Renji isn't special but something like this should be assumed to be accurate since its backed up later on.

@@jackwitt7430 To be fair, many people believe that Ikkaku was under limiter because him struggling that much and getting his Bankai broken against someone like Edrad only makes sense that way, and unlike Rukia who didn't really prove herself due to being held back, Ikkaku's strenght (minus his Bankai of course) is well known. That being say, I personally believe that Edrad was stronger than people give him credit for, and that Ryumon Hozukimaru essentially self-destructed.

@@ashleymesser6792 Zabimaru is a part of Renji's soul. That's why Oetsu gets mad at Renji for his careless use of him. It says a lot when half of a fragment of yourself doesn't respect you.

2:32 the bankai release should put them about the same as being in base considering the restriction they have so they were being pushed back and then got a huge power boost at the last second. If anything this shows the captains and lieutenants are being overly reliant on their bankai just like ichigo they definitely need to improve their skills cuz I don’t see some other captains being pushed back like this even with the limiter on

Any other captain would win easily even with restriction but hitsugaya is weak as fuck.
