If you do this again, try the Bayo FAir spike (99% of people don't even know that exists, can't blame them tho). If you do the bullet arts on her FAir 3, i.e. hold attack while doing it, she shoots out her bullet arts. The bullets coming from her heel-guns have a weak spike on them. Its like Joker down gun but infinitely worse :)

I got killed by the bullet arts of her upair by spiking me to my grave mid fox recovery in smash 4. Not the actual hitbox The BULLET ARTS spiked me.

The grounded version is amazing for comboing on deep breath. It combos into fsmash even.

I go for it alot and succeed alot. Its not used often so a lot of people dont know how to react. You can hit multiple grounded ones a bunch in a row. And you can also just run off forward air if they keep going low and you can catch them with the spike.

Also, Robin’s up b doesn’t spike when angled straight down, it spikes just as the projectile comes out, kind of like how most suicide down airs don’t spike with sourspot boxes.

When the third one was revealed as gunner... I was so confused. It's a genuinely good spike. Yeah, is spikes for a very short amount of time, but it's pretty big and comes out really fast. Thought it was gonna be about their down air cuz their down air IS terrible

As a robin, it’s so easy to build percent on k rools by just doing up b. Cause if they recover low hit them with both shots, recover high Levin aerial. Or if you space it right spike with the up b

K Rool's up B is trash if you have a character who can abuse it. I main Sephiroth, and that MU is unplayable because if I miss my edge guard, up B hits him anyways.

Ah. Robin Elwind spike. It’s one of the most uncommon spikes in the game. It’s weird. And it’s quirky. And kinda random. But when it hits… it feels oddly satisfying.

It's uncommon because it is hard to aim, only at the beginning of the first part of Up special and no one goes for it.

Fun fact! As a Robin main, I have discovered that footstool to Up-B spike is a true combo! Most spikes have like a delay period after footstooling, but the Up-B can be activated immediately as you footstool someone for a free spike.

A spike that I never see anyone talk about is Ganon's final smash spike when he turn into the beast and swings the two swords, that spikes. Try that, its very fun to do.

I would argue one of the hardest spikes would be Ganon Side-B in the air. You have to hit the very ledge and they have to have no ledge grabs left.

God. Robin Elwind spike. As a Robin main, I ADORE getting to rarely hit that. I think I've done about two in real matches. It's supposedly like, the first ___ (3? 5?) Frames of the move coming out and you have to be RIGHT up on them.

If you want it, the hardest spike in the game to land is mii brawlers onslaught side b. This is because it's not even meant to spike. The move is the one where you dash forward, and if you hit someone, you do a ton of attack and stuff. The 2nd to last hit spikes with set knockback and sends up into the final hit. If you can hit the move on the ledge, they will get spiked before the last hit connects. It never kills through unless it's a little Mac or something.

Krool up smash is harder by a mile, you can catch someone going past the ledge with grounded onslaught and it kills way easier

@@Kyara7 but the spike, Luke is said, has set knockback. It literally CANNOT kill. At 999% It does the same knockback as at 0, and it's not much. Also, the opponent has to be literally rolled back against the ledge as far as possible. Also the mii brawler one can't hit aerial opponents. If the opponent is in the air, they just flinch into the last hit and don't get spiked. Mii brawler Is certainly harder

@@PersonManGuyMale Let's say that your opponent has a recovery that doesn't snap to the ledge very well and has bad vertical recovery, like Terry. If Terry recovers low and doesn't snap, you can easily catch him with onslaught and gimp him. This doesn't only apply to Terry, he's just the best example. With Krool up smash, your opponent needs to be in a very specific position farther above the ledge than the activation for onslaught, and you have a single frame window to do it. Not only do you have to be insanely precise, but it also has just as low if not lower knock back than the onslaught hitbox. I've tried going for both of these spikes. Onslaught I was able to do after just a few hours, but I've never been able to land the KRool up smash even after weeks of on and off practice on lower gsps. TCNick did a whole series on every move and his hours of footage on KRool shows just how obscenely difficult it is to land.

Part 2 with the easiest spikes? Like Kazuya downsmash at the ledge and Ganon spikes. Any games you don’t get a spike in you have to add 1 shot of tabasco sauce to a a glass of water and at the end of 10 games of sweating you either get a refreshing ice water or a spicy punishment.

To answer Hopcat's question at 13:47 in the video; Yes, the move (Luigi-Down B) is invincible on frames 4-8 on the ground, and 1-7 in the air. Fun fact for chat; Luigi's side-b and up-b are also invincible at the start. Who actually designed this character?

Little note on the Robin Up+B spike: the best way to get it is to not go for it. Ever. It's a stupid spike hitboxes that almost never comes into play. Do not suffer unless it's for content.

When I heard there was gonna be a bonus round, I was expecting the Hero Kaklang drop down spike just because of how difficult it is to get the set up just to ATTEMPT to do it and that's something I could definitely see not being able to get. But Robin's Up B spike is difficult too. Overall great video and it was really funny seeing those Little Mac matches

Plant dair isn’t necessarily rare to see, but it is deceptively hard to land if you don’t know the spacing since the sour spot has priority over the spike hitbox

Recommended spikes to try: Pyra up-b(doesn't kill a 999%pichu if he's not right above the blastzone). Mega-man reflected up air (only spikes you, and has to be reflected). Peach bomb spike: pull bobomb throw straight down.

Now try wii fit header spike and K rool up smash spike. K rool’s up smash has one frame on the way down where it is a very weak spike, and header isn’t too bad but you have to space it perfectly so the ball doesn’t also hit the opponent.

I frequently kill with Little Mac Dair on 12 million gsp. You can do it to characters like DK, Ganon, Captain Falcon, Cloud, Roy, Falco, most characters with vertical recoveries without guarding hitboxes on their heads. I’ve even killed Lucina with it on a few occasions.

As a Robin main, you basically have to be standing on top of them like to footstool, but you Up B instead to get the spike. It can be done intentionally but yeah even as a main of this character it usually happens by chance lol

Not sure about Ultimate but back in brawl they decided to give Ike's neutral special a sweet spot that would spike if it hit, I only remember being able to hit an offstage spike with it once despite how many hours I've played that game.

Robin’s elwind spike is never something I land intentionally but it’s always so much fun when I do. People talk about byleth’s reversals but Robin has some nice ones too sometimes Btw you can combo it out of footstool usually as long as you buffer it
