I think the blair witch project would work rly well for this! the way it was advertised was so unique for the time and created suspense before the movie was even released, but I get how it may not hit as hard today in the context of modern internet culture, especially now that found footage horror isn't new or fresh anymore

I loved you guys giving the context of the industry at the time as well as your own personal background and experiences with the movie. I'm 18 and grew up watching movies like this with my parents who were around the age of the target audience when they came out. And they were always interesting, but its even better when you get to know how and why they were made, how they were enjoyed and who enjoyed them at the time. Would love to see more of these!

i’m 19 and just watched this movie tonight for the first time. it worked pretty well for me and k thought it was really funny. the “good housekeeping” line was my favorite joke that shit had me crying. it was fun bc it’s such a pop culture movie that you can point out lines and be like “oh” even though it’s your first time. i fw u step brothers keep going vro 🤞🔥
