Met HLE for the first time when she was still a student at UKZN. There was a US Consulate Delegation delegation visiting UKZN and she sang a short jazz ensemble. I remember telling my Manager that this lady is beyond talented. Such a powerhouse and a versatile vocalist. Your voice is healing, comforting! You are truly a gift from God, you heal with your voice sis. Your music has carried me through the good and bad times. May God continue to bless you. And thank you for your gift. Stay blessed.

I’m literally in tears as I watch this because I’ve been a freak fan of every song, especially Mthunzi Wam😂😂, there’s a part in the song where you go - “yeah! Yeah! Yeah!”. And you run across the joyous stage like a mad woman😆🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽_ I remember thinking to myself, “this lady is a star” 💫 . A few of years later just in 2020 when nothing good could’ve possibly happened, you slap us with #ykoe -a perfect album🔥 Ae yazn😄😍anyone can have their doubts but uNkulunkulu ukhona maan. Hle do you have any idea how crazy it sounds when you said you didnt want to be on camera? Its unbelievable, your character, vocal engagement and social skills are like opposite what you thought you were. Would you care to share how you dealt with your camera uncomfortability, who inspired you ?, what keeps you going on a daily basis?, how are feeling about being out there right now ? and what would you advice a people like me who also believe we are meant to be only in the background crew?

You know I’ve been listening to YKOE EVERYDAY and it makes me feel so different and connected. All of your music nje futhi. I then went on to think about how you actually put in effort in your work. Like you brought us along with you. You were humble about it. You’re intimate with us. You’re a vessel and siyakubona because awuziphakamisi. You reply. You engage. You make jokes. You also bless us with your ministry. I just want to say ngiyabonga mina. Ngiyabonga kakhulu for your work.

I'll just bulk up my comments into one. - My late friend actually bought that JC DVD only for this song (Mthunzi Wam) - I love the whole album but "You are" is still a fave, followed by Nguwe! Lastly, thank you for listening to God diligently and delivering according to what He required from you. I love you but I love the work of God in you more.
