One up one back doubles. It was the way club doubles was played way back . The power of the return has done it of course, but also the lack of real volleyers. TT is the only womens player on tour who can serve volley....amazing all round tennis player.

I prefer 1 up 1 back, both up front can be lobbed easily and with powerful ground strokes the front can get injured. But club coaches always teach both up front
