I've also been installing the Digitrains sound in my Class 07, it sounds great and coupled with a stay alive and a perfectly sized sugarcube speaker it's a joy to run it.

Truly beautiful, the DCC sound just makes the difference all the better. "Okay to go under" a function that has been missed off decoders for too long now. Stay safe, GWR

The Q1 is actually coasting nicely as there are not chuffs at all but cranks sound which is easily confusing if you do not have a good hearing . What it should have been noticed is that the chuff rate is not syncronised properly and this is quite common with digi steam sounds . it only takes a few minutes to find the perfect rate.

Thanks for replying. I will listen again. I used to rather like big end knocking sound on the local BR 4MTs at the end of steam when coasting. Music to me but a worry to crew and fitters

@@stephensmith799 We considered your observation and we decided that maybe the volume of the cranks could be slightly too loud which on a small speaker could easily be confused Thank you and please follow Locomansounds!!!

Does anyone know if those decoders are compatible with the Lenz digital starter set (controller+command center)?

Where did you get the wagons with the boiler, and a matter of fact, where did you get the boilers from?

Weird comment but where do you get your trees from?. I ask because I am having trouble getting decent ones and the one at the start on the right is what I am looking for.

MARIN GARVANOVIC I too am having trouble finding trees I like the look of. I did see a company at the Warley show two years ago who's trees are superb but they were between £30 and £40 each which as they were all handmade probably wasn't a bad price but you're into £200 for even a modest amount of trees. I think when this is all over I'm going to have a go at making my own trees and to that end I would suggest you look at the two tree making videos posted by Charlie at Chadwick Model Railway. Hope you find this helpful.

When I heard you say diesel sound chip, I was wondering why I could hear a steam locomotive sound and see one!

Mmmm the Q1 does not 'coast' properly. There should be no chuffs with the regulator shut. This is quite a common fault with digi steam sounds.
