I love H Mart so much! We don't have one in town near us so it's always a special day when we go! I'm definitely going to have to make that kelp/anchovy stock, it's so easy! Your meals always look so delicious! We have several great Korean restaurants near us, but I love cooking new dishes at home. Thank you as always for the inpsiration!

ttekboki is very easy to make. just watch a few videos. I’m sure you will like it much better if you make it yourself. The simplest way is to get gochjang and gochjaru from HMart, combine with some of your fish stock, soy sauce and a little sugar, combine in a pan,soak the rice cakes in water for 20 min then add them to your pan and simmer. You can add pieces of fish cake, hard boiled eggs, scallions or whatever else. some people add ramen, cheese, ground pork. i add chinese broccoli, spinach, bokchoi , whatever i have around. It is definitely not supposed to taste like tomato sauce.

You're right, that brand definitely wasn't great. the other bag we tried was much better, and i've since made it myself too - all way better than that first one we tried!

Saw those buns immediately when you showed the table. Our favorite is the honey filled ones. You should try them! 😋I'm new to this channel and have been bingeing your videos. Would love to see you make some Korean/Asian recipes on a frequent basis.

Maangchi has taught me to cook a lot of Korean dishes ❤️ Mung bean sprout banchan is also one of my favorites and I always make a lot as well. Try putting in a handful of the sliced rice cakes in your ramen (or any soup/stew) when you bring the water to boil (before you put the noodles in). Whatever I don't use, I freeze. Oh, you can also slice the fish cakes into bite sized pieces and add into your ttukbokki. Deeeeelicious!

Hello!!!!!! I'm watching your video and heard you mention that your chickens doesn't make egg. I hope you solve the problem if not you have to change your chicken feeding to something else like goat feeding and your chickens will make eggs again.

@@GroundedHavenHomestead Thank you for letting me know!🙃 When I watch your videos (almost every one when they're uploaded), I relate to you as an Asian in America and having a big vegetable garden with chickens. 😊 Your Korean cooking is wonderful and I love that you are very open-minded about many ethnic foods! Keep up the good work!

Could you use the bones for a fish stock? I’m not sure is salmon is good for that
@GroundedHavenHomestead
@GroundedHavenHomestead Жыл бұрын
yes, i’m sure you could - but it would definitely be fishy, which i don’t find very versatile. i would pretty much only do that if i was making a very fish-forward dish like a fish stew or chowder or something like that
