On June 18th, I heard HMCR 8560 and HMCR 8527 heading South and went to Green Cove Road to see if they were there. I don’t think the HMCR was taking any cars South, just the two engines. It took me longer than usual to get to Green Cove Road.
When I finally got there, I saw that the HMCR was already at Green Cove Road. They had started switching at the North end of Green Cove Road. After waiting for a few minutes, 8560 and 8527 started shoving 7 hopper cars from the North end of Green Cove Road to the South end of Green Cove Road.
After shoving the hopper cars, they started organizing them and also started organizing some other hopper cars that were sitting at the South end of Green Cove Road. After watching them organize some of the hopper cars, they started shoving several hopper cars around the corner, so I decided to leave.
About two and a half hours later, I caught HMCR 8527 and HMCR 8560 as they were taking 12 hopper cars back North. I was able to catch them at Meadowbrook Drive.
