Great , fair , balanced review of the Endeavour. I have bought the Soleil Royal from Artesania Latina which also has the instructions on CD. I have emailed Artesania for the paper instructions for the rigging so I will see if they get back to me.

John, thanks for the information, my HMS Endeavour arrived late yesterday. I see there are sill plenty of the older kits available. I will start this build in a couple of months time. In the mean time I will watch the rest your videos of Endeavour with keen interest, I doubt I can do as good job as you. Please keep up the good work. cheers john.

I have to admit that this was the first model that I did not follow completely. From the first video on all I kept hearing was your complaints about poor quality and the poor instructions. You built a beautiful ship as always, but I don't have your experience or skills so I will not be trying to make one for myself. I understand that Occre also makes a kit for Endeavor. Perhaps I will try that one. As always, thank you for your patience and your helpful review

John, Votre HMS Endeavour est maintenant complètement terminé et je dois avouer qu’il est magnifique. Les seuls petits défauts qui sautent aux yeux, ce sont ceux de la coque en blanc, qui n’est pas dû à votre travail je pense, mais à la qualité de conception de cette maquette. En visionnant toutes les vidéos de sa construction, j’ai encore appris beaucoup de chose sur le modélisme, dans ce domaine on en apprend tout le temps. Pour cela je vous remercie pour ce partage, mon ami. Dans cette vidéo vous donnez vos impressions sur la qualité de réalisation de cette maquette, ne comprenant que très peu l’anglais pouvez-vous me faire un résumer du bien et du moins bien sur cette maquette d'Artesania Latina. Alors à bientôt pour la réalisation de votre nouvelle maquette La Candelaria

Hi Yves! Yes she is done and looking good! The quality of the wood was pretty good except from a few pieces that were tragic. The laser cut board were the best i have ever seen, but the skeleton was 3mm thick and that is a problem if you have little experience. The wood was only one type so you had to use a lot of paint to make it look better. I didn't like it very much as a process because the instructions were in a CD...

Sad that artesanis has slipped, I build their victory years ago, ant it was marvolous. But warned i'm not going to buy anymore of their kits anyway you made a beautyfull model,

You are missing the extra wood at front which protects the hull when the anchor is pulled upp

Γειά σας κύριε Αλιπράντη, τί διαφορά έχουν τά σχοινιά από βαμβακερό ή πολυέστερ? Πότε χρησιμοποιούμε τό κάθε είδος? Έχουν διαφορές στό πλέξιμο ή αντοχή ή τίποτα άλλο? Σάς ευχαριστώ.

Καλημερα Κωνσταντινε, απο πολυεστερα ειναι πιο ανθεκτικα και ελαφρως ελαστικα, ομως αλλαζει το μηκος τους με τις θερμοκρασιες οποτε μετα απο μερικους μηνες η χρονια τα σχοινια θα φαινονται σα να εχουν "κρεμασει". Απο βαμβακι ειναι καλυτερα αλλα εχουν περισσοτερες ινες που φαινονται απο κοντινη αποσταση.

Does the red parts on the deck are made or wood or plastic? The kit looks more like a toy than a ship.

Everything is made out of wood or metal and you are right. And if i painted the ship's parts like the instructions were telling me she would look more like a plastic one.

Hi John, been following you for a long time now and love your work. It seems that Artesania Latina is not the company it once was. They have just announced a new revised edition of the Santa Ana kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbVgqseZq5OsiJ8.html, despite the old model being your most favourite ever, based on your experiences with Endeavour would you say this new Santa Ana would now be a risky purchase?

I do not know if i should laugh or cry. The hull is painted white, this means probably that we have only one type of wood and it is not sapely. The rubbing strakes and the side of the hull are painted yellow and black. Again probably one type of wood and make the Santa Ana look like the Victory. Some sapely can be found on the deck in some spots and on the stern. Also a little on the bow. I believe it's nothing like the old one, it is like the Endeavour in bigger size and almost 700 euros. I hope i am wrong...

@@JohnsWoodenShips There is a very brief shot of it unpainted in the video at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbVgqseZq5OsiJ8.html and it did look like sapelli. Their website also has some unpainted shots. Maybe there is hope? Seems like schematics on CD again though...
