7:28 A little cheaty tip: Using a constrction office like in the video is a good money saver. But if you edit the terrain meanwhile the game is paused your bulldozers/excavators won't use fuel. So you spend nothing for terrain editing. This is useful when you have to edit the terrain at the beginning of a new game.
@MelfiortheOneАй бұрын
They will still use fuel, they just don’t stop terraform until you unpause. then they will have completely depleted fuel storage and have to refuel.

My tip: don't forget to build university, otherwise number of educated people (e.g teachers) will drop, without teachers number of people with basic education will drop and in several years you will end having whole city incapable of work.

I think this guide is a good addition to the content that's out there and you should (if you haven't done so yet ) publicise it on all the social media channels and the STEAM forums of the game - I'm going to share it where I can so please continue producing those

That's only one of the reasons. If all other needs are met then it will be the only one, but I suspect high unemployment, disloyalty, and just overall low happiness can also lead to mass emigration.

Tip #1: It's a good idea to build a new set of apartments near your schools and universities and importing a high amount of university educated workers there. That way you'll ensure that each school and university is running as smoothly as possible. I usually try to go for around 150% of university educated people the workplace needs. The more you bring in, the more time the place will be educating at full capacity. This is key to avoiding an education crisis later on. Tip #2: Roads lock on together if you build them side by side. It's a good idea to set up a 'highway', two contrary one-way roads side by side, between big cities and in the logistical heart of your cities to ensure smooth transportation. Busses running a route that maintains separation will often go lower than their max speed and certain vehicles are just very slow and as city people get cars the roads will see a lot more traffic, this can help with these chokes. Tip #3: Be careful about placing buildings with a lot of vehicles going in and out of them. If they're too close to a main road, the vehicles can choke up traffic while they wait for their turn to stock up. Tip #4: Build multiple construction offices even early in the game, they are very cheap. Specialize them in either road construction or building construction and build some that are only dedicated to bringing resources to construction spots. You will need a lot of trucks with open hulls, dumpers, cement mixers to deliver construction materials. You will save up a lot of money by setting up your own constructions, resource transportation costs from the border add up and importing workforce is extremely expensive.

Your videos are amazing! Love how concise, well scripted and annotated the information is! You say exactly what needs to be said, and nothing is 'wasted'. Everything you explain is useful to know, which is what we all really need to hear. Most people who do videos like this waste time waffling and messing around with the gameplay whilst talking, so it can be very distracting. I love how you've edited the videos and added footage of the city running whilst explaining key points, to keep us engaged and interested. Plus you add 'summaries' to remind us what you've already gone through so it's remembered! That is soooo useful!! Thank you, you my friend are a real professional and I wouldn't be surprised if you end up doing the videos for the game in an official capacity! 👍😍

Great video! For local distribution I prefer using a Distribution Office. In my experience it will automatically adapt to changes in demand and you do not normally need to have a road terminal next to your shops. The inbuilt terminal will do the job.
@Dovah472 жыл бұрын
Since addition of those i rarely use regular route making, I use mods for smaller offices, 1 and 3 cars. They are realy useful, I prefer these becouse with regular routes, you either tick for "wait to unload" and the car blocks the parking space until empty, or you don't and the car will run the route ten times instead of one (clothes for example). Also, it's easy to see if you need more/bigger cars for transport, if the office is empty all the time (all cars delivering), then you probably need more vehicles
@Hmuda2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they work great. I'm just a traditionalist in this regard, and prefer to have individual lines. I grew up playing TTD, and recently the Transport Fever games really made me appreciate the "individual lines" approach. :)
@antonisauren89982 жыл бұрын
If you have spare trucks and parking space, individual lines are more efective. Distribution office must pick resuply request, send track to storage and then to destination, that takes time. If you set it too low, you risk shortages, if you set it too high, truck will run almost empty, as ammount is defined by initial resuply request. Even when balanced, truck won't bring proper ammount, as some will get used, between order and delivery. In my biggest city that coused food shortages, as bread was bought out faster, than DO would deliver. Full track with manual line at the ramp works as storage buffer and always runs full. Most shops and industires have at least two parking spots, so one can be blocked by single truck with crucial resource.
@RyanFireball2 жыл бұрын
@@antonisauren8998 That is not my experience. However you need to have a local warehouse that the DO gets the supplies from. As for the "paperwork" needed for the DO operation, I think that is almost instant. R/Tom
@antonisauren89982 жыл бұрын
That was singular case. I added more shops to spread out demand, got bigger trucks, and it works fine with DO to this day, but nonetheless happened before, when thousand people used single shop. It's rather compact modded tradehouse so it might have small internal storage. Central one was maybe 1km away, next to DO, so pick up was almost instant.

Hi there! One simple Question: On 2:13 it shows clearly "line spacing" for freight Vehicles. For some reasons I don't know by now this only works with with Busses (Passengers and Workers) on my map. Never with Freight Lines. It reads: "Spacing is not supportet" Do I miss something? Any Ideas? Thank you in advance. :)
@Hmuda2 жыл бұрын
Sure, it is most likely because you set full loading or unloading on one of the stops. Line spacing only works if you let trucks run continuously. And since buses cannot be told to wait, they always have the option available.

My question is. The big apartments you build in your city, they aren't connected via road are they? What are u using to connect them? Looks like Grey tiles. Looks quite good
@Hmuda2 жыл бұрын
They are connected with just regular footpaths, and the rest are filled out with a regular gravel texture. You can find these ground textures in the menu with the trees and monuments. You can either drag a non-functioning road, or over an area, like I did. That tile-like appearance comes from the footpaths. They have a bit of a border to them, so they look like seams between tiles.
