I like how realistically slow the gates are! Especially with the gate lights to compliment it!

WOW that is just to cool!!! I dig on the Southern Pacific caboose and the crossing gates and lights, that is awesome and what's really cool is the flashing yellow beacon in the background!! Its never to late to have a happy childhood and I just turned 60 in March and your layout definitely brought the kid out in me!! Thanks buddy and nice job 👍🛑🛑

I thought this was a real scene when I first wandered upon it, mostly due to the sky and the wires on the telephone poles! The wires on the poles REALLY makes a HUGE difference to an HO scale layout! And the sky! WOW!!!! How did you do this?

This is really cool! From the railroad crossings to the grass to the powerlines! It looks all realistic thank you for sharing this I know I probably already said this but do you know where you got those railroad crossings? Even though they’re custom made?
@MrChev95 Жыл бұрын
These are NJ International signals. Heavily modified. Thanks for the compliment. I strive to make everything look as real as possible. I have layout pics on my IG - Chev95

Spectacular crossing like how they added lights to the gates now
@MrChev952 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I had to add the LED's to the gates. The originals were non-operating.

Oh OK I thought they came that way lol but anyway they still look fantastic

Great job on the signals, but what really struck me was the hazy sky. Did you do that with a post filter? Or did it just come out that way? Take care - Bill.
@MrChev95 Жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, the backdrop was painted by me using regular latex paint , light blue, then mixing in white while it's wet near the horizon line. It's a technique I learned from the staff at MR magazine. No filter.

Are these scratchbuilt? I noted the extra lights for the side rosd.

Can you possibly give me a brief rundown on how you made those custom signals?
@MrChev95 Жыл бұрын
These are NJ International signals that I stripped down and rebuilt the lights, targets, and hoods. The gates are also new as the original ones were too short.

@@MrChev95 what material did you use for the gates? I was thinking about replacing some gates on my signals as well.
