Very nice and convincing. In my book, that can pass for southwestern Kansas, particularly on the old Rock Island to Tucumcari, NM. nevertheless, nice job. Keep it up. Kudos and cheers!

I thought it was real at first! The gate lying around in the title is pretty realistic, considering Railroads usually leave broken ones beside the tracks.

WOW that is just to cool!!! I dig on the Southern Pacific caboose and the crossing gates and lights, that is awesome and what's really cool is the flashing yellow beacon in the background!! Its never to late to have a happy childhood and I just turned 60 in March and your layout definitely brought the kid out in me!! Thanks buddy and nice job 👍🛑🛑

I thought this was a real scene when I first wandered upon it, mostly due to the sky and the wires on the telephone poles! The wires on the poles REALLY makes a HUGE difference to an HO scale layout! And the sky! WOW!!!! How did you do this?

Great job on the signals, but what really struck me was the hazy sky. Did you do that with a post filter? Or did it just come out that way? Take care - Bill.
@MrChev95
@MrChev95 Жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, the backdrop was painted by me using regular latex paint , light blue, then mixing in white while it's wet near the horizon line. It's a technique I learned from the staff at MR magazine. No filter.

Hi. Thanks for the compliment. The layout consists of several modules in a 20' x 20' garage. SWP is a regional shortline that purchased the tracks in the Imperial Valley from UP. I plan on doing more videos, I just have to get some more items done first.

SWP is a modern Regional Short Line that still runs beets out of the Imperial Valley. Those "woodies" were retrofitted with roller bearing trucks to make them FRA compliant after 1994. I haven't had time yet to change reporting Mark's and weather them. This was a beet job with a delivery to Simplot Soil Builders.
