An excellent video. I think I saw Oscar and Piker in the video. Those are two of twenty or so items I wish I had bought when I was a kid, along with about four more Athearn super power blue box F-7 A and B units. After all of the decades of running the wheels off of the four I bought new, both inside and outside, they have acquired a beautiful patina and realistic weathering and still run incredibly smooth. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N. Edit: They even manage to stay on my horribly laid track. 😅

BC Rail #4648 is cursed. Every time it's in a consist, something happens. And the last time somebody numbered an engine 4648, it slammed head-on into a PRR freight and killed 43 people.

Yeah nah, engine is fine. Track is very blatantly the issue in these.

I'm impressed by how much "problems" like derailment or random car blocked by the track, train decoupling etc... It's because of the old track or just because it's just a tiny wagon made of plastic?
@SCL36182 жыл бұрын
Mostly older track, and elevation changes across the layout. Cars that behave fine elsewhere will cut loose at various spots here.
@dangeary2134 Жыл бұрын
I get a kick out of this, but I also know it’s frustrating as H. I made a couple of self-contained N scale layouts in coffee tables. I really tested the wife’s patience when it came to testing the track. She put up with it, knowing I was making one-off tables that would fetch a good price. It took a few weeks to run trains forward at any speed, then pushing ten cars with couplers mounted on the trucks without an issue. When it came time for train shows, the comments were incredible. “Look at how they run so slow!” Then the absolute astonishment when guys that had layouts would watch my trains go around for an hour, while pushing, without a derailment. I still get a charge out of the “wrecks” on any layout, and wonder how long it would take to clean up and fix the mess if it were the real thing!

3:26, Surprise, It’s NORFOLK SOUTHERN *“WHAT’S YOUR FUNCTION?”* Also, the General Electric Dash 8-40CM looks very similar to the EMD’s F45/FP45 diesel’s. I personally like the full width Cowl Body type locomotives. They just more pleasing to look at then the usual GEVO’s and other locomotives. Though the Alco’s Road Switchers and EMD’s GP locomotives look cool.
@alfa11342 жыл бұрын
Kinda notice that it's always those few cars that keep on derailing. Is that due to quality control on the cars, a weight problem, the way track is assembled, or a mixture of all three?
