I'm curious as to why in most of your Episodes, Those with Huge Homes, You give People New Beds, Sofas, Fridges, Stoves, Washers, New Carpeting, etc.!!??... And a Thorough Cleaning!!??🤔😒... So why then, In this small Home, With a Far More Extremely Cooperative Person than in Most your Shows... Who Obviously doesn't have much... And was Literally willingly give to up almost Everything ... Did it look like the the Floor wasn't even Vaccumed, Much less Shampooed or Better Yet replaced!!??😒... The walls hadn't even been wiped down... Or again, Better yet painted!!??😒 This was Literally the Absolute Worst Reveal I've seen yet!!!😝😜😣😒... And Frankly feel like you should've been Embarrassed and Ashamed to even Broadcast this Episode!!!😓😒.... She was a Very Dear Sweet Lady who had Admittedly been through Sooo Much in her Life... And to Spite this behaved Sooo Much Better and was Sooo Much More Receptive to and Grateful for the Help she was given... But was the least Rewarded by Far... of All the others that were "Uncooperative and Un-Grateful"!!??🤔😒.... Would ABSO-FLIPPIN'-LUTELY LOVE for someone from "Hoarders" or "A&E", To Explain this to me!!??... Thanks!!🤔😒

@@julieb2398 Wow! I didn’t know that. Because I thought the show offered mental health after care for three months, and because they are making money having this broadcast I just assumed that A&E was footing the bill for the cleanup. It seems like a lot of the hoarders, at least in the early episodes, also had a lot of debt. And I could never figure out how they could afford to buy or get the credit to keep on buying their every day needs. The behind-the-scenes stuff is interesting. I will have to check out his channel. I also never looked into who reports these people to A&E in order to apply for the show. Something else to do in my spare time! Even full episodes aren’t enough information for me especially about the psychology happening, so these shortened bits are definitely not enough!

I have a relative like this, and know someone who can be considered a hoarder. I do not want to sound negative, however, I suspect that this woman, and others like her need counseling ASAP ! Someone can go into her house and clean it up, however, if she does not receive mental health counseling, it is a mute point, because it is going to go back to the same way it was before. See the newest version of the DSM !

@@Coolkem1 ..I totally understand and agree. Personally, the individual should attend therapy before they clean their house, so they can be part of the process to cleaning it up. It never got to the heart of my real issues. And I'm a hoarder! My parents were. I contacted an organizer who specializes in hoarding. She told me she worked one-on-one with Hoarders who have been IN THERAPY and that through working with her clients, she git them to CHANGE THEIR BEHAVIOR. That is what I want AND NEED.

Especially for people of color She’s great wherever she is but she has a special credibility for her Black clients. She represents something no white person can. Please don’t get your knickers in a knot here. Just please remember that the doctor brings a cultural understanding to many. She’s equally as helpful to all kinds of other folks as well. I think she is the most effective professional on this show. Her empathy is part and parcel of her being. As is her quiet leading out of people. How many women would be willing, yet alone trusting enough to tell her estranged daughters about how she was brutalized? And you could see her daughters instantly make sense of what drove her mother to be as she was. The Me Too movement struck so many women to their core. They developed a sense of sisterhood realizing they weren’t alone. And I think one of the most important aspects of that movement is that men finally felt free to speak out. If you’ve never experienced that kind of brutality in your own life I encourage you to stand back a bit and ponder what those experiences could mean to you. What kind of support system could you count on? What kind of access do you have to counseling for your mental health? And health care in general. Time to stop here

This was so Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ But I’m wondering why the house wasn’t fixed up more in the end. I won’t be ungrateful though because the healing between her and her girl’s was more important besides getting rid of the junk.

But you only have 2 feet. That's the problem with shoe-hoarders. They get into the habit of buying too many but only wearing 3 of them.

Absolutely disgusting to me my ex-husband the same thing to my children when they get blamed for him having to be a parent just like this mother complaining that she didn't have things cuz she had to give it to her kids absolutely that is what you're supposed to do when you're a parent go without for your kids. I only had work clothes holes in my work shoes 16 hour days for my kids to go to school with clean clothes on for school that's not their fault I had them these people really need to grow the f******

It's sad when someone chooses to spend their money on shoes and clothes they don't need, instead of fixing their teeth - which they do need.
