I find it all fascinating. You know I read an article a few days ago (i think it was a year or two old though) that looked at how miniature wargaming is a dying thing, it's on its last legs. Then I sat an pondered about how far along the hobby as come. Once upon a time we had a simple paintbrush, a 35mm film-roll camera, and a garage for games. Wanted to show anyone you're work? a picture or "come round and have a look at this" Now we have all kinds of fancy tools to paint and assemble with. We have glorious places to meet and play and now we have high-tech stuff like this that allows us to watch anybody paint anywhere in the world and in great detail. The hobby has evolved and grown in a wonderful direction. Lovely bit of equipment. I'd love to see more reviews/previews of the technical side of the hobby. Its great to see.

Great stuff Stu. Was interesting to see your work space as well. I need to put some effort in maybe in the coming months to set up more of a dedicated space for hobby…or at least one that can easily share with my work from home setup

Good initial look at this Stuart. I'm a fan of BenQ they offer some very affordable yet great quality and colour accurate monitors. As a product this seems pretty reasonable well made and of decent quality, the ring light is a nice addition particular for hobby use though the video is a bit mediocre for its premium price. However Incredibly overpriced in a competitive market and I couldn't recommend it at £160 for its feature set, very surprised to see its limited to 30fps even in lower resolutions too.

Yep it’s not cheap for it’s performance level, it’s one of those things I expect the price to drop relatively quickly I think, then when it’s down a the £120 mark it’s much more competitive, especially with extras you get. But I’m not aware of the rivals in the market in any great detail, so kept that out of my review.

Id like to see a few hobby equipment based reviews from you but I am curious if the screen sharing was laggy because of the recording or if its like that normally?

It was the zoom recording, I only noticed in editing that there were some issues with it, wasn’t like that live at all, and I’ve used it during live lessons as well and no issues thankfully 😅

That was quite revealing. Is all that Starwars Legion stuff for a commission? Will it be done for World Champs at the end of March?🤔😏😉

Yes all commission not mine, it will be finished this week, and I’m not sure if they’re attending the World Champs (but I don’t think so) 😂

@MiniatureRealms Double speeder bus Shadow Collective can be quite a tasty list. Bosssk is a great figure. Did you put them together as well? What do you think of the figures? Also will we see a bit of a showcase for these ones?

@MrBlackear I didn’t build them myself so not sure, but they seem mostly pretty nice once built. If I have time I’ll share some pictures.
