I gotta say, the Last Argument of Kings models are pretty good and if you like painting fantasy miniatures, these are probably going really float your boat. They're really nicely detailed, especially the latest releases produced by Archon in Poland and they're scaled at 35mm, so the details are also a lot easier to paint. The Free Cities are a bit like the Empire from Warhammer but really, beyond that the similarities kind of end. The two most recent factions are basically vikings and ancient greeks.

For the guy in the first story, I remember about 10 years ago when I was doing a coding bootcamp and there was a group of 3 of us, me, a guy and a girl who was black. The guy with me got over excited when he managed to get something to work and blurted out something like "Yeah n-word!" (but not saying n-word, saying the actual word). I still remember the look of horror that came over his face the moment he blurted it out then the 5-10 minutes he spent apologising to the girl with us, even though she just found it funny and was laughing at it and poking a bit of fun at him. I think it was the exact same sort of thing as the guy in that story, overthinking not saying it then when something jolts him it slipping out.

I have never had any kind of interest in having casual games with people who aren't mates. I know I'm lucky to have mates that play, but I can't see it being worth spinning the roulette wheel of 'will I get a good, fun opponent or a sweaty prick for an opponent?'

The first story was hilarious. We all have those intrusive thoughts, waiting in the shadows ready to make us look like complete muppets. :-p Love the videos bud, entertaining as ever. :-)

Dude, that first story had me rolling! He should've played it off and said he was trying to solve the puzzle in a South Park episode. Sympathies for the last dude. Having been there myself, I can't imagine how sad your life has to be to cheat to win at all, let alone vs a new player.

The 14 inch charge thing is probably a moob mistake from the ork player. I was a dedicated demons of khorne player through 8th edition and while tehcbically he is right that you only have to be within 1 inch of a model to be in combat with it and a +1 to charge was a thing, the rule was (at least back in 8th/beginnibg of 9th) that to declaee a charge the enemy unit must be within 12 inches
