One of the biggest rivalries in the history of the Championship was between Neil Hodgson and Chris Walker during the 2000 season - BSBTV caught up with the pair at the MCN Show at Excel

Chris is a better man than me. I'd be letting Hodgson know every second that his career highs were down to a blown engine at Donnington Park.

Ewen Nicolson and remember cadwell park, walker won and hodgson was 3rd instead of winning because he was boxed in by backmarkers, them lost points and walker wouldn't have been in a championship winning position when the engine went. ifs and buts, its a race to the flag, if you're bike isn't good enough to go the distance then tough shit. harsh and unfair often but thats motorsport. mcguinness has retired from the lead of several tt races that he would almost certainly have won, he's at least sporting enough like walker is to know that he was beaten.

A championship is won over a season not a single race, but these 2 had a great rivalry that made BSB that year - best to both of them :-)
