Dear Direy, Well it's been an interesting week of studies here at Hogwarts. I'm in the middle of my 5th year with OWL exams coming up. I hoping to ace my OWL exams in Potions, Herbology, and Defence Against the Dark Arts because I wish to study them further in my final two years. I'm still wondering why we have a new professor in Defense against the Dark Arts every year? Personally I don't think about it too much, but I do find it strange. Anyway we have the next rounds of Qudditch is next week and my house is up against Griffindor. My classmates are still trying to convince me to join the team as a chaser. However I just have no interest in the sport whatsoever, and I have no desire to get hurt. I mean a couple of weeks ago I saw the match that Griffindor played against Hufflepuff, and they won by a landslide! Honestly I'd much rather stay in the Hogwarts Greenhouses and quietly tend to all the plants there. Dinner in the great hall was nice although the Slytherins that were sitting behind me were a bit loud, probably because they currently have a narrow lead for the house cup, which I understand their excitement. Right now I'm just in my dormitory about to get some shut eye. It's nice and rainy tonight, I can hear it outside my window so I will sleep well tonight. Tomorrow we have no classes so I think I'll head to Hogsmeade tomorrow for a butterbeer, Mmmm. Well I think I'll turn in now, but before I do I think I'll open my potions book and memorize a potion or two. Until next time.

Brilliant, just what I was looking for. A part of me really does dream about owning a house somewhere on a rainy hillside. Doesn't have to be Hogwarts exactly - just a nice house, decent-sized yard, all leafy and green, maybe a creek at the bottom of the hill...Bottom corner of the house there's a den (like with pool tables and a dartboard and so on) with a tin roof. On a rainy day can go there and take a nap on a comfy couch, maybe even a fireplace in the corner. House I grew up in was pretty good but very suburban and very flat terrain. I'm thinking Gippsland, east of Melbourne. Would love to own a house there someday (if I can save up a million $$$ or so and can commute to work quick enough). Hey a guy can dream.

You stare outside in the rain humming to yourself quietly so nobody hears you. You start to close your eyes, not because your tied, but to make your feel all happy and calm. You open your eyes again and feel like a new person, you put your hands up and realize they’re shaking. You let out a sigh as you start to head to bed only to lay there and think how lucky you are to get this far...not just in Hogwarts but in life...you close your eyes once again and start to fall asleep to the soothing rain! I made this lil story while listening to this, hope you like it! As I storm to the dungeons for some much needed relaxation from teaching, I huff a breath, thinking about the insufferable first years. One had melted a cauldron and then another had broken a glass sculpture of a snake coiled around a potion bottle, the famous Harry Potter gave it to me for my birthday (And I definitely didn’t tell him that I liked it) I shake my head, this was the boys last year at the school, two years ago the war had ended and then last year Harry had surprised everyone by showing up and thankfully nothing traumatic happened, and somehow me and him have made a bond and started teasing each other as well as doing potions outside of class, almost as if we were family. I shove the door open and then slam it shut when I’m inside, I go to walk to my study area to grab a bottle of fire whiskey but stop when I see that the room is lit up. I pull my wand out and point it at the suspect but drop it when I see no other then Harry Potter sitting in one of my cushioned chairs reading “Potter... why are you in my dormitory? It is quite rude to enter without asking first” I growl, he looks up at me with a grimace “sorry, Ron and Hermione are being so insufferable, telling me I should get my hair cut because I ‘look so much like Snape I could be his son’ like where do they get this stuff, I swear I am going to hex his hair white and call him Draco!” He grumbles causing me to chuckle as I grab a bottle of Fire Whiskey and pour a glass “well that doesn’t mean come to my dormitory” “it’s the only quiet place here besides the Gryffindor common room that I actually like, and you usually never come here till later... what’s got your wand in a twist anyways” he says nodding to the drink “stupid first years, they also broke your sculpture that you got me” I grovel as Harry shakes his head “a shame really, it was really cool, fit in your classroom perfectly!” He says with a smile which I roll my eyes at “what book you reading anyways? Not like you do it much” “it’s one of the books off your shelf actually, called ‘Wings Of The Sky’ it’s not bad actually” I smile at that (I’ve been doing that way to much around Harry and it’s frightening) that book had been a favorite from when I was a kid, it always hooked me in no matter how many time I read it, I sit down next to Harry on another chair and continue to sip my whiskey, the sound of the rain on one of the windows keeping it from getting too quiet. Idk if he actually has windows so don’t get mad XD Hope it wasn’t horrible but yeah, hope your doing okay and just remember that I love you so very much, keep going and take care of yourself

Thanks for this video. You managed to capture two separate, yet equally comfortable, feelings. The most obvious being the coziness of being safe inside while there is a storm raging outside. Got a 2nd degree burned on my right foot. I was just listening to this for the whole time and the pain faded away. When I noticed I was already asleep. It doesn’t help my burned wound but it helps eased my burned right foot.
