If you think about it, english, Spanish and French are still the dominant language. In Asia to a lesser degree, but still, the European influence is massive. If you count the US as an extension of European influence (in language and culture, which arguably is similar) then it’s even more prevalent.

I apologize of course, but if you look at everything from the colonization side, then both Americas should be considered an extension of Europe.

Interesting I put it like that because growing up we were taught that North and South America were separate continents.

@@dynamitegames I know that’s the model some people use, yet there are no reasons to separate it. We share cultural roots and land. If China, India and Russia can be part of the same continent, why does Nicaragua and Colombia have to be in separate when they share same ethnicities, major religions, language families (European languages) and cultural roots? How they be separate when they’re even categorized in Latin America? No European country is categorized in the same group as an Asian country. We even share history because we were invited by Europe around the same time and got independence around the same time too. If North America was a continent, Central America wouldn’t be part of it because of cultural differences, and we’re even in a separate tectonic plate. The Antilles wouldn’t be part of it either.
