Okay this all makes sense now. I learned andar with Rosetta Stone as andar una bicicleta and my friends all told me that was correct. I was very confused as to why it translates as walk. Thank you for this video.

Suelo andarme en bibicleta las noches por el ejercicio. Generelemente monto 25 kilometros mas o menos, y de veces (una o dos veces por la semana), voy quizas ciento lilometros. Me gusta mi bici. Mientras estoy saliendo hago muchas piensas. Escucho muchas lecciones de espanol con auriculares.

mmmm con bicicleta y carro, no usamos caminar. Caminar es exclusivo para andar a pie (to walk). Pero se puede usar andar para (walk) y también para (ride). Entonces podemos decir: andar en bicicleta, andar en moto y en carro también pero es más común para el carro usar el verbo 'manejar' o 'conducir' (to drive).

¡Absolutamente! ¡Muchas gracias por tu recomendación! Aún y todavía son adverbios que significan 'yet' or 'still'. Son sinónimos y pueden ir antes o después del verbo. Por ejemplo: "Ana aún/todavía no ha llegado"="Ana hasn't arrived yet". Ahora bien, aun (sin tilde) y aún (con tilde) son diferences. Con tilde significa 'yet' or 'still' y sin tilde (aun) signfinica 'even'. Por ejemplo: "Quiero ir a Cuba de vacaciones aun si no tengo dinero"="I'd like to go to Cuba on holidays, even if I don't have money". Espero que entiendas la diferencia. Voy a grabar un video con la explicación para ti :)

¡Excelente pregunta Tara! Montar y Andar en bici son sinónimos pero en España y Colombia se usa más montar en bici, y en México, Argentina, Chile, Perú, Puerto Rico y otros países dicen 'andar en bici'. Pero claro que todos nos entendemos en todos los países de habla hispana si dices una palabra que no se usa tanto allí. Voy a hacer una explicación completa de este tema porque es muy interesante

¡Muy buena pregunta! Pelo y cabello son sinónimos y significan lo mismo en algunos países de habla hispana como Argentina. Cabello es un poco más específico y se refirere solo a la cabeza. Pelo es más general y se refiere al vello del cuerpo y de los animales - Good question! Pelo and cabello are synonyms and they mean the same in some Hispanic countries like Argentina. Cabello is more specific and it refers to the hair in the head. Pelo is more general and it can refer to the hair in the rest of the body and in animals.

Hola Spanish. Fantastic. I would like the lesson to include hair colors. I am confused on moreno. I cannot tell if it refers to brown hair or skin tone or some combination. Seems there might be two words for gray hair. Gris & canoso. If you like that, also please add the words for straight, curvy, curly, very curly hair. Hope I am not asking too much, but am excited to learn the differences. Muchas Gracias.

Sure! I'll do a video lesson about that as well. If you say 'ella es morena/morocha' is a combination of skin tone and hair colour and it means she's a brunette with olive skin, 'tiene el cabello moreno/castaño/marrón' are synonyms for she/he has brown hair. For grey hair, we say 'él es canoso/él tiene canas'. 'Canas' means grey hair and it's a noun. I've heard people say 'tiene el pelo blanco (white hair) but we don't really use 'el pelo gris' to refer to older people's hair. The new hair colour that is very fashionable now is grey or silver and we do use 'gris' and 'plateado' to describe this hair colour. I hope this mini explanation helps ♥

'caminar' is the infinitive form of the verb 'to walk' and caminando is the gerund 'walking". There are certain rules that are different from English and Spanish in terms of when we use an 'ING' form instead of an infinitive verb and so sometimes you'd see we use 'caminar' in Spanish in the infinitive form but when translated into English we need to use the gerund ING form 'walking'. For example: Me gusta caminar por la tarde >> I like walking in the afternoon. In Spanish we use an infinitive verb after the verb gustar (to like) but in English we need to use the ING form of the verb to express likes and dislikes. I hope this is not too grammatically confusing for you amigo. I'd recommend, especially if you're starting to focus on how you say XY in Spanish and learn to communicate first before you dive more into understanding the language from a grammatical and structural point of view. This will come up naturally as you progress in your studies. Thank you for watching this class and I hope I've answered your question here.

they actually don't both mean walking. caminar means to walk, which isn't conjugated, while caminando means i walk in the present tense. there is a difference :)

Sí, se puede usar de esa manera, por ejemplo "Ando con mi mamá en el cine", "Ando tomando un café con Ana" En algunos países también se usa para decir una relación sentimental "Valeria anda con Miguel" quiere decir que Valeria es novia de Miguel. Un abrazo.

¡Muy buena pregunta! Pasear significa caminar o andar por placer o para hacer ejercicio por un lugar, generalmente al aire libre, despacio y sin un destino determinado. Puedes ir a pasear en tus vacaciones o por la tarde con tu perro. En inglés decimos to stroll para este verbo.

Pasear también es irse un fin de semana a otra ciudad Irse para un rio también se conoce como ir de paseo o paseo de olla Los paseos no solo son caminando, también puede ser en carro, yate, moto paseo es más como movimiento

'ándale' is mostly used as a expression to order or command movement or action. So for example when you're waiting for a friend to go out and he's putting his shoes on, you can say 'ándale' to get him to hurry up, or encourage him to get on with it faster. 'Adelante' is a preposition of place and it means in front of, coming up or forward. For example, el café está más adelante. You can use 'adelante' to encourage someone to continue or carry on doing something as well. For example: ¡Estás haciendo un muy buen trabajo! ¡Adelante, no te detengas! (you're doing a great job, go on! Keep going!). I hope this makes a bit more sense. When it come to encouraging, you can say both 'ándale' and 'adelante', however, 'ándale' is a bit more informal and mostly used in central America.
